It’s a Friday afternoon and I’m driving home from work in an atmospheric river. Looking for an attorney to take on my case. Called Oliveros to schedule a consult. Too bad it sounded like I woke up their intake boy from a nap. He identified himself as their CFO, and if that’s the case, I am gonna wager they need to rethink their intake process and finance strategy, because this was not the way to get me to hand over a retainer. Chris is an enigma— he will ask you questions about your case, but once you start telling him about your case, he’ll cut you off. He will remind you that he isn’t an attorney and doesn’t want to know about your case, as he’s drawing judgments on your case, like a junior attorney who hasn’t seen any evidence. You may be like me, and get treated during your intake to some complementary dismissive mansplaining. If you shut him down, he’ll move onto the gaslighting portion of your intake , where you may be told that you sound like you’re “in an agitated or disordered state,” which is his way of gently whipping out his misogyny on the table. He’ll then set the phone down to grumble about you and find a ballpoint pen. When he returns to the phone, be sure to set the boundary that you don’t want to be talked to like that, because then he’ll just get pissed off and get your ‘bad-fit’ attitude off the call. The right-fit is easy admission if you’re a dude (duh), and/or those folks who enjoy basking in the condescending air of overly-confident and incompetent men. I hope he got his nap in after I hung up, dreaming fitfully of all the Nasty Women who have triggered him.

I have used Greg for several legal issues over the 35 years that I have known him. He is a great attorney that has helped with me with Civil matters, Criminal maters and Corp issues. He seems to be a attorney that can handle almose every situation. If you want to see something cool take the time to watch him in court. He deminds the room when in a trial.
