Worst experience I could have imagined. After being directed to the Onondaga County DA office by law enforcement this was a huge let down. I was treated in the most humiliating way. Every point I tried to make was met with immediate dismissal as if the ADA was a member of the good old boys club which I was trying to report. They jumped to conclusions before I could finish, became defensive and treated me as if I was being cross examined. This approach was a complete waste of time and resources. Moving on to a higher level of authority should be your Plan A rather than Plan B.

Very very snobby ppl . Very unnecessarily rude on the phone . Mind u I was being very polite and trying to explain my situation like I was asked and was met with a sharp and short response. Which didn't even help me with the information I was looking for

This office doesn't seem to care about minorities, men, veterans or people who experience abusive female partners while dealing with a job change and the loss of their mother. It would seem as if they'd rather villify a patriotic African American man with a clean record and invalidate his reasonable concerns. I guess African American men can't be victims of abuse in their eyes. It doesn't seem like they don't know what reactive abuse is and/or they don't want to know. Disappointed

Received a traffic ticket in upstate NY, we knew the state trooper was in the wrong but he ticketed us anyways. We went on the Salina town court site and learned you can appeal traffic tickets via the Onondoga DA Office after pleading not guilty. On the DA Office website, there's a traffic ticket reduction request. We promptly filled it out with all necessary documentation. It took a couple of weeks before the DA Office sends you dispositions offering alternatives to your current ticket. The DA Office mistakenly wrote the same disposition for both tickets, so I called to ask for the second disposition. The issue with traffic tickets is they don't have anyone who can speak to you directly, you have to leave a voicemail. It took another week before the DA Office contacts back, and even then, all they told me was to wait. I repeated this the following week because there wasn't much time before I had to respond to the ticket. Turns out if you look at the disposition form there's someone who signs off on it. In this case it was the Assistant DA, Kali Benjovsky. I recommend you name drop whoever is on your disposition, that way the DA Office can get you in contact with them directly. After explaining my situation and providing more documentation, Kali addressed my tickets directly which was really nice. You can also find the DA staff emails on their website, so feel free to contact them directly rather than responding to the generic DA Office email. I'm glad I don't have to worry about the tickets anymore, so I figured I post this so other people can handle their tickets smoothly!

As a male victim of domestic violence, I never imagined that seeking justice and protection would make me feel like a burden. Unfortunately, my experience with District Attorney Buck has only deepened this sense of despair. I've reached out to her office countless times, both by phone and in person, pleading for help and hoping for some kind of acknowledgment or support. But time and time again, I've been met with silence or, worse, indifference. It's incredibly disheartening to know that despite my efforts, my case seems to be swept under the rug. I understand that the legal system is overwhelmed, but that doesn't justify ignoring those who are in desperate need of help. I never wanted to be in this position, and I certainly didn't expect to be treated as if my situation doesn't matter. This entire ordeal has left me feeling even more isolated and hopeless. District Attorney Buck's lack of response and care has added to the trauma I've already experienced. I urge anyone else seeking justice to be aware that you may face the same obstacles. It’s a sad reality when the very people who are supposed to protect you make you feel like your pain is insignificant. I’ve made it aware I believe countless times that I have severe anxiety- so much that I am on daily medication for. If I’m told I’ll receive a call back on a certain day- and for whatever reason I’m forgotten about- it doesn’t really show that I matter. Last time I had to call a supervisor just to get a call back after I called a week straight and left voicemails! I would LOVE to know what happened at my case 4 days ago but I’m put through the wringer.

I have found out many things about my family that DA have helped discover more.

DA Fitzpatrick and staff are second to none when it comes to prosecuting cases. Tough when circumstances require but always open to considering reasons why a case should be concluded with a lesser conviction or often no conviction at all.

Worst most terrifying experience of my life. I was treated like i didn't matter and had gone through a trauma. No info, no contact, no protection, no caring. I am a tax payer and good citizen of 50 yrs that was attacked randomly and was treated like a drop in the bucket. Sad. .

With constant threat of a "Warrant being put out for your arrest" with every correspondence, you'd think they'd take the time to pick up the phone or call you back. If I didn't live 6 hours away I'd contest the ticked in person.

Absolutely disgusted at theese people. And from all other reviews looks like I'm not alone.

I had brought 2 tickets in to get reduced 3 months ago and I still haven’t had a response because when the told me it could take up to 3 weeks. I have had to adjourn court like 5 times and I can’t even get ahold of anyone in office. Horrible system they have here wish we didn’t even have to rate a star just to write something.

Fitzpatrick has no integrity and manipulated evidence to support his cases. Vote him out!
