I added one star because I couldn’t add 0 . It took them 3 weeks to even file anything . The paralegal was blatantly rude and hostile , I had to show up due to not being able to get ahold of them for weeks . When I expressed my concerns and how unhappy I was with how they handled my case and requested a refund back on my retainer (I’m 30 weeks pregnant and expressed to them I can’t deal with how they’ve treated my case and the stress it causes ) she did not give me a dollar back . They charged me for every email I sent asking about the case , mileage to the sheriffs department (took them 3 weeks to even file anything ) and on top of that uploaded photos and screenshots of evidence onto aoc where anyone can access that -pictures involving my 3 year old child . I do not recommend at all.
Dear Shirley, <br><br>Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately each case, each client, and each situation is unique with its own complexities. Holidays thrown in compounds delays in working out court dates. Some types of filings require more client provided information before filing as well. That is somewhat beyond our control. <br><br>We show many calls you made were during the time we publicly post that the office is closed, for example, during lunch. I do not expect staff to answer phones, email or texts during their posted lunch, after hours, or when on leave or holiday. I'm sorry if that did not meet your expectation. Regardless of whether you call once or ten times during lunch, for example, there will be no answer, but you will get a response at our earliest opportunity, as we work around court settings, messages, and appointments, or we will answer during available times if you call then.<br><br> I've never known staff to be rude, I do know there can be misunderstandings. We will look into that. I have generally observed that sometimes what one person intends as friendly, playful, or direct may be offensive to someone else. If we catch something like that happening we address the misunderstanding. But this is the first we are hearing of it. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We will be more vigilant.<br><br>Each case requires a service agreement. We do occasionally decline to request additional retainer funds or fees, even when the retainer is depleated and additional fees are earned and justified, but we do so on a case by case basis. If we do give a break in one situation, it does not mean it will happen in other situations, even with the same client. These people are amazing. They were sensitive with dealing with a hard situation and closing my late husband's estate and my name change. They were prompt, had great communication, and did high quality work. Will use them again for any future needs I have!
