Small boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning and Family Law. Ms. Oza is conscientious, highly motivated, and actually listens to her clients. Other lawyers will just talk themselves up while she gets things done. She used to be a Public Defender so you know she can try a case. She turns away more cases than she accepts, but if she takes your case, she'll do a great job. I've co-tried several cases with Ms. Oza and have never worked with anyone more prepared than she is.

My husband and I recently updated our Living Trust and Iva was professional and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions promptly, made excellent suggestions, and shared her wisdom throughout this experience. I was very impressed with Iva when I first worked with her a few years ago when she assisted me with my divorce. She was knowledgeable and very insightful regarding the laws and how they applied to both of us in our situation. What made Iva REALLY stand out, though, was how she remained completely focused on the law. She was always reasonable and fair to both sides and never tried to create an unnecessary "war" between us. For these reasons, I chose her again when I needed legal assistance for a recent custody issue involving my husband's young daughter. Her mother was refusing to negotiate and disagreed to our original, very minimal, custody change request asking for alternating Saturday overnight visits to be added. This forced us to file a modified custody request to obtain the visitation that we believed was 100% legally justified. Per Iva's legal advice, we also included ALL of the visitation we wanted to be added. Iva remained focused on the law and always advised how the law applies on each side. She offered solid legal advice for us to chose from. She had no interest in trying to escalate the disagreement in order to keep us arguing. This is a huge plus because it was very emotional. After mediation, the mediator's custody recommendation included just about everything that we requested in our filed custody modification. Opposing counsel completely disagreed and was still unwilling to negotiate. It was set to go before the judge after lunch. During lunch, we were called back because the opposing side was now ready to come to an agreement. This new custody agreement included far more visitation than what we were originally seeking in the very beginning before having to get the court involved! Iva's assistance during the process was key !
