What Dean Paolucci responds as “playing the victim”, shows his lack of understanding, compassion, or lack of wanting to actually service clients, present or past. As shown in the receipts, he admits he may have come across as unprofessional. In a desperate attempt, he called three times after I posted my review. He uses words like “fired”. “harsh”, none of which were used with his law firm. So, Dean, play the “victim”.
I'm fine, I'm just surprised you were somehow upset with me getting back to you on your issue, as a former client, in 43 minutes with a perfect solution.
Absolutely horrible experience from the moment we walked in their main door! We were treated with such disrespect! Did not want bankruptcy, looking for assistance with debt as we are closing our business! We were early, she was not with a client at the time, she took us 15 mins late, wanted her retainer which we gave her and then she literally spent 15 mins us and told us can’t help, come back in 2-3 years! Thanks a lot for wasting $440 of our money we couldn’t afford to begin with! No heart for the little people!
Hi Randy, I'm sorry you were dissatisfied with the service. Yes, you came early, directly to my office door instead of checking in with our receptionist by the front doors. I directed you to the receptionist to fill out our intake forms, and explained I would check on you in 10-15 minutes. When I brought you back to my office, I discovered most of the information asked for was left blank, so we went through the intakes together filling in the blanks about your personal and business finances/affairs. After reviewing it all, based on you having multiple assets and sales of assets and large sums of money in the bank for the business ad personal side, I advised it would probably be BEST to not file bankruptcy and lose all these assets. So then we shifted gears and went over how our Debt Settlement Program works, settling debts and keeping you away from bankruptcy so as to not lose all your assets. After extensive review, we determined that you did not want to go that route, so, I circled back to bankruptcy options and explained in detail how you could possibly file in a few years, and how to accomplish that, etc. You left the meeting promising to keep in touch, and seemingly in a good mood, so I'm not really sure why there is an issue now. The business consult fee we charge is for giant cases like yours, where there are many many factors with a large business, several options to review (Chapter 7, Chapter 13, Chapter 11, Debt Settlement...) We charge this for our time, essentially, and it was not a surprise fee and quite frankly I believe you gleaned ALOT of information from our meeting that day, so it was not a waste on your part or ours. I'm sorry you felt disrespected by our time together, but I thought it went really well and again, the information we figured should help you move forward with whatever decision you choose to make. Where to begin? I never imagined we would be in a position to need these services, but years of piling up quickly caught up to us. Crazy enough, our credit scores were excellent but we were barely scraping by making so many minimum payments. We made an appointment to discuss options. From the first phone call to the actual date at court, Paolucci Law made the process easy and not-so-scary and never made us feel like we were bad people for going through this. Emails and phone calls were handled in record timing. Here we are seven years later and still debt free. It has made our lives much nicer! If you’re on the fence, make the appointment. It was well worth it for financial freedom.

Was advised to come here by a friend of a friend who no longer serves as a bankruptcy attorney in this area. I ended up having 2 meetings with them to discuss my options, which ended up in me putting some thoughts into them. Tried contacting them back afterwards to file, but no one got back to me after several calls and voicemails. I was able to finally file with another attorney. I am sure they maybe good to others, but this left a sour taste in my mouth, and would not recommend them to anyone.
I don't think you were a client of ours, I don't see you in our system. We get back in touch with people, especially after two meetings. We have no Scott Steiner in our system. If you could, please double check which firm this review was intended for, as it really hurts my business having a bad review that is not even someone I tried to help. Decided to choose another attorney. I gave 1 star due to the rude receptionist Mary Mann. She was so focused on collecting a $100 down payment that it felt like my questions & concerns were dismissed. Bankruptcy can be a difficult thing to navigate & all she did was add to overall stress of my situation. Hopefully no one else would have to experience this. -Rob
I'm very sorry to read this, and am having trouble with this review because Mary would never and has never treated potential clients this way; we do require people to bring the $100 retainer to their consult, that way they can hire us if they choose to do so. If that offended you, I apologize but still believe it is OK to ask people to bring in a retainer of $100 to hire an attorney on the day you come in to the office, again, IF you choose to do that.

Hi XXXXXXX, I am sorry it did not work out with you and our law firm; however, I do need to point out a few things about your review above: specifically I have to ask why you would hire us and give us several hundred dollars if you did not feel comfortable or felt "obligated" to go with us? Also, we do refund any money above the time we spend on a case. We do not "find anything" to charge you, we simply calculate our time in 1/10's of an hour and bill for it, no different than any other law firm anywhere. We bill for time spent with or on a clients file, no more no less. Additionally, I leave all good and bad reviews up, which is why you can actually see the bad reviews here. I was really worried filing bankruptcy but the staff at Paolucci Law was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and always got back to me right away. From Tifani to Rebecca and many more. I knew I was in good hands.
Dean did a great job helping through the chapter 7 process. He was always helpful & very quick at respond to questions. One suggestion (if possible): provide clients with a way to fill out their paperwork online - there is so much paperwork and most of us don’t have printers + the environmental impact.

I met with an attorney from the Parma location, and from the start of the meeting she had an attitude with me. Even when I offered an explanation for something the attitude got worse. Hardly wanted to listen to me. I found her to be unprofessional and rude. I decided to not go with them for my bankruptcy.
As the owner, I looked into Brittneys concerns and found this is a situation where she just did not like the answers our attorney had to give for her.<br><br>If a person wants the benefit of wiping out their debts, they must provide information to the bankruptcy court about how they spent tens of thousands of dollars in the short few months prior to filing bankruptcy. When a person can’t or won’t give this information, we cannot help them and I believe this is the real cause of Ms. Ashbys complaint as our lawyer she met is among the nicest and thorough lawyers in the Cleveland bankruptcy bar.
I absolutely recommend Paolucci Law for any and all your bankruptcy needs. The staff were very helpful and Dean is so good at communication with his clients. They made me feel comfortable during this time in my life. They worked with me every step of the way and got the outcome I was looking for. I would give them 10 outta 10!
