I’m a Pittsburgh native living in Southern California. Recently I completed a property purchase in Allegheny county in CASH via this company. In the beginning of my transaction, everything was ok (sorta). First action I completed on my end was to make sure that I wired 90% of my seller’s asking price into escrow FOUR WEEKS prior to closing date with the remaining funds wired 9 days prior to close. With the great distance involved (>2,000 miles) I would have thought that the Assistant named Danielle who was handling all the paperwork that I saw from my end of the deal would have been on top of getting to me the necessary paperwork and documents needed to get the transaction completed smoothly - and way prior to the closing. Instead, she emails me multiple documents on a TUESDAY for a FRIDAY closing In Which she stated to me that she needs notarized and overnight fedex’d back to her. Additionally the paperwork stated that my funds already transmitted were not covering 100% of my financial obligations. Ok I get thats on me and my realtor, somewhat. Cool....As I voiced my frustration In This matter, this legal Assistant Danielle decided to get a stank attitude with me (aka the customer) about my responsibilities and what I should’ve expected and how I’m possibly breaching the contract. Bad bad bad bad bad bad taste in my mouth she left. I don’t know why I didn’t immediately demand to speak with a supervisor, manager or someone who can speak better on behalf of this organization; my mistake for not asking for someone further up inside the company to work with. I should’ve asked to speak to Papernick or Gefsky themselves and asked them why I am receiving lackluster service? Why I had to work with this assistant who farmed info out to me extremely late In the process beats me. Point is - I’ll be using another firm for anything else that I purchase in the Pgh area in the future...And my friends also. I’m sure that there are tons of companies whose able to better communicate with out-of-town buyers that are interested in investing in Weatern Pennsylvania NOT RECOMMENDED!
