I’ve used Don Parkinson twice both for estate planning needs. He’s super knowledgeable and responsive which was wonderful considering I am an out of state customer regarding Illinois matters. Don has reasonable prices with great service which I would recommend to anyone. His staff is great too and they bent over backwards to take care of our needs.

If I could give this law office zero stars, I would. I am currently paying off a debt for a local bank and I highly suggest they reconsider their council for handling their debts. People get into debt sometimes, but that does not mean you should treat them horribly. I have been paying off my debt since September 2023 and I’m always polite when interacting with them. Anytime I have verbal interaction with them in person, via mail, over the phone they are always disgustingly rude. I recently just asked for a balance because I only received the initial balance I owed the bank, not the full balance with the lawyer and court fees. When I called and asked for that recently, the lady who works for the lawyer reiterated the whole case to me that I was fully aware of because clearly I have been paying for almost 2 years now. Her attitude has always been atrocious. Instead of answering the question she continue to go on and on about the case. She then proceeded to speak to me as if I was incompetent. She stated that it was going to take me five years to pay off my balance now keep in mind I’ve already paid off two of those years and the balance with the court cost and lawyer fee should have been tallied back in September 2023. She then said “I don’t know what your balance is because we haven’t calculated that yet”. That is something that should’ve been done almost 2 years ago when myself and the lawyer signed off on the payment arrangement and balance, hence their unprofessionalism and their incompetence. Note, I pay my bill ahead every month. I don’t know if they think the tough approach gets results but they might want to reconsider because it’s definitely not working for them if you look at these other reviews.

Nasty People. Horrible Human Beings. Just called in and spoke to the operator. Hung up on me. Disgusting HumanBeings

I so wish I could give negative stars to this place!! Literally called and didn’t even get through stating my name before the lady that answer turned in to pure rudeness! I mean she is literally the rudest person I have ever even tried to talk to! Would not even acknowledge any of my questions. I tried to be nice she just become more and more rude then hung up on me! For a law office maybe they should hire some professional people! I would absolutely recommend everyone to stay away from this place!

Absolutely rude staff and the secretary for the office literally talks down to you on the phone and won’t even let you speak. She makes you feel less competent and belittles you for owing them $$. Super unprofessional.

I spoke with this man for less than 10 minutes and immediately he was rude and disrespectful. He wouldn't allow me to speak or explain what my situation was. I dont know how he is even in business when from the jump he acted as though he wasnt interested in being hired or even listening to the problem to help find a solution. Highly NOT recommended. I wish there were 0 stars because he would definitely be there.

Worst law firm I have ever spoke to on the phone. I recently lost my husband and had to deal with Mr. Parkinson. Very unprofessional. All I want to do is pay off a loan at the U of I credit union. This seems so unfair. I wouldn't give it 1 star.

This attorney is will treat you like your inferior and demean you along the way while his skill and tactics leave much to be desired. Very deceptive! I’ve called up and spoke with the “secretary” to ask some questions and she was just as bad ...yelled at me and hung up. I mean the only way they can still be in business is because he represents JD Byrider in small claims. That explains a lot!

If you want a slime ball for a lawyer- hes your guy. I for one, do not want that. I chose someone else..

This place is garbage you have to constantly jump through hoops just to get anything done I'm not surprised it only has only 1 rating and it's a one star if I could put 0 I would have.

If I could give negative stars I would for the office manager. Perhaps the lawyer is better than his help. I spoke to him personally and cannot believe he has such low quality office staff. I believe her name is Stevie D- office manager. As a potential new client who was looking to have help as a landlord for a tenant eviction I the office manager was rude beyond belief. After constantly talking over me, talking down to me and mocking me I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Stevie, the office manager mentioned to me that she has been working in this industry for 45 years however customer service must not be one of the things she learned in that amount of time. She constantly talked down to me when I was trying to gain clarity about how to send the retainer funds. She would rudely say are you done? I've already explained to you. I don't have any of your information in front of me - in a very angry tone as if it was my fault. As she answered the door and put me on hold, she came back on the phone and I said may we start over? I think we got off on the wrong foot. I let her know that as a potential new customer I feel she was being very rude. She told me then, " I think that you were being very rude to me because I have told you how to send the money. " I told her that she did not let me finish and therefore was missing key information and therefore I was not able to convey to her the full scope of my concerns. I say all of this to say what a poor, poor office manager and I would never ever do business with such quality. It is unfortunate that an office manager has taken money from the table of her employer. If she has done this to me who knows how many others she has treated this way and who knows the amount of money that this company has lost due to her incompetence and lack of customer care
