Do not Hire Pat Murphy as your attorney!! This lady is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, A MANIPULATOR, UNDERSTAFFED, LAZY, Moves Very Slow, and Not Very Supportive. She will make you do all the work! And provide minimum effort. All Facts!!! I have no reason to lie on here. I have truly experience all of this myself. Hoping to save someone from this headache. Stay Woke!! I am a Black American male and someone who is recognized as a respected Father and business professional. I am a man god, educated, loving-protective-providing father whom does have and has expressed custodial interest and 50/50 custody of my son. I had hired Pat back in Aug of 2023. Shortly after I hired Pat, I was involved in a dmv situation in front of my minor son. My ex who committed the DMV was arrested and I received temporary custody of my son at the time. Fast forward Over the past year from Aug 2023 through July 2024 I attended only one court hearing with Pat Murphy in which Pat did not bring up the CRITICAL dmv situation or use clear evidence of the dmv video, witness statements and etc confirming the actions that took place. This would have helped with getting custody of my son. I also requested for a restraining (Which I did not receive) and primary custody of my son. Rather than what I requested and what should be entitled to me by law. Minutes before the court hearing Pat tells me that I need to agree to the other lawyer terms and request because if I didn’t the judge would look at me as being unfair and could sway opinion and influence judgment of decision. Pat was counter productive. She was more in alignment with the lawyer Timothy and not concerned with what the laws and ensuring I had equal rights of protection. Pat irresponsibly negotiated a way for me to pay spousal support, continue with visitation every other weekend and to my ex when in fact spousal support is not paid to the other party when there is a restraining order in place. That was not the support I was requesting. Then Pat decides to sub out of my case after I call her out from ignoring my emails and text messages for weeks and I was demanding for better representation from her especially with all the evidence I had. This lady is terrible.

Best lawyer in town! An epitome of customer service After 18 years of my living trust she still had a copy of my living trust. And did not charge me for the 106 pages she made. She is amazing! That's honestly the best word to describe her. She has been helping me with variety of cases and the most important one regarding my children. Even though they were difficult cases and lasted off and on for many years with new instances, she has always made my children and myself feel so comfortable. She has always answered me and my children's questions and always makes time. I know she is very busy but understand that she assists as many people as she can to help where she is needed!! I love her as an attorney and a person. She has truly changed all my family's life for the best. Thank you so much for all you have done. Trust me thank you doesn't even cover it!!!!! :)

Update! Murphy lies even when telling the truth is easier. Plaintiff's attorney states Murphy did not cooperate in any way on my case for over 2 1/2 years! LONG BEFORE HER ILLNESS! Ignored him. Ignored me. She should lose her license. Refused to meet, answer communications, or try to resolve my matter with him. I was later abandoned by her because of blatant malpractice, as court was in September 2024, and no way could she face me, judge, or Plaintiff's attorney, after ignoring my case, and utter inertia! Elder abuse. Malpractice. Abuse of power. Be scared. Be VERY scared. Too "sick" to practice, yet her office remains open. Karma can be hard.

Ms. Murphy has shared excellent advice with me and was a strong advocate for my case. I have nothing but the utmost regard for her judgment. She is well known and respected in Kern County by the judges and other attorneys.

She was pretty rude.

Be sure Pat Murphy is OK and taking cases. The first time I used her she was superb, answered communications, and won my case. This time I have contacted her repeatedly, when is the court date, and a few other very important questions, by voice mail, email, and fax FOR TWO WEEKS. No response. I realize things can happen but a response takes a few minutes and 1) STOPS repeat communications from concerned and scared clients and 2) shows good character and business acumen. I am not well and have to drive to Lancaster from Bakersfield to ask peace officers to do a wellness check. She could be on her office floor comatose or dead. Or being held captive, as this DOES happen to women. Most clients would not care. I do. UPDATE: Murphy abandoned me. Backed out of my September 17, 2024 court date. Told me to contact her September 30, 2024 for new court date and time, and replacement attorney. Mine is a simple email to answer. Has, as is typical, ignored me. The irony is she displays the exact same behavior as the Plaintiff. Abuse of power, and ignoring legitimate questions. Then whines I send "too many" emails. Be scared. Be VERY scared. How a professional handles personal and professional things during adversity, speaks volumes. TOLD ME SHE HAS TO BACK OFF HER PRACTICE, YET SHOWS AS OPEN EXCEPT THURSDAYS.

If you want an attorney that never picks up your phone calls this the one. Also, she doesn't have a receptionist so good luck

Definitely hire Pat Murphy if you want the best! Pat Murphy is the most caring and supportive attorney out there. She understands the law and it is very noticeable that she is given a lot of respect by other attorneys. Her communication is very clear and has an excellent track record and reputation with the judges. Pat was the lead attorney in my divorce and, in the end, all parties were satisfied and appreciative of her hard work. Pat REALLY cared about me as a client. IMHO, If you want the best attorney in the Antelope Valley, contact Pat Murphy. You will be happy you did.

Ms Murphy was an Amazing lawyer and I have recommended her to other clients which are also satisfied with her work. She was very understanding and help me with my child custody case, divorce and relocation. She was hands on and very professional with my case. I wish I can give her more stars . She help so much .

VERY VERYYY LAZY office from the assistant to "lawyer". I Understand she is just a public defendant but my god the quality of her service was insanely low! We would contact both her and her assistant and wouldn't get a response for sometimes weeks. And when we would finally get to her and ask her why we haven't got a response she would get VERY passive aggressive and claim she never received anything from us and more so make it seem like it's our fault not hers. She would claim she was always busy and it did seem like it because she would never pay any attention but if that was the case stop taking cases! Especially if u can't give quality attention like pat Murphy and her office never could. She was always passive aggressive with us hardly offered a "service" at all. But was very punctual to charge the judge at the court for literally the bare minimum effort. If you care about your family dont allow this office to take your case! She will not pay any attention to your family and will form her own opinions without any real interactions with the family! BEWARE! hope I don't get a passive aggressive response on here!

If you need an attorney who is experienced dedicated hardworking at a very reasonable and fair rate, Pat Murphy is the the right woman for the job.
