Patricia was my saving grace. I can say that she is honest, forthcoming and was willing to work with me on my case. My ex husband put me and my family in distress and Patricia did her very best to get me the best outcome for my particular situation. Things could have been way worse. I would recommend Patricia to anyone in need. You can expect clear communication, all possible outcomes outlined, a clear plan of how to proceed, honesty and compassion and willingness to go above and beyond for her clients. Obviously this a business and she needs to be paid so do not expect people to work for you for free but she will do everything in her power for you to get the best outcome. Thank you Patricia for your hard work and all the help you provided for me and my kids. May God bless you
This attorney is not good. They charge a very high amount but the quality of their work does not match what they charge. They are not reliable at all, and I honestly give them zero stars.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. However, our records indicate that you were not a client of our firm. I was closely involved in supporting a friend during their family law case with this attorney. From what I directly observed, communication was frequently delayed, and there appeared to be a lack of clear guidance about next steps and expectations. Family law matters are emotionally difficult, and consistent communication and transparency are extremely important. Based on what I witnessed, that standard did not seem to be met in this case. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future clients.

Please think very carefully before choosing Farah as your lawyer. Our experience was extremely disappointing and financially draining. We paid over $17,000 in legal fees for a divorce case and did not see meaningful progress or a final resolution. After such a significant investment, we expected clear communication, guidance, and strong representation. Instead, we were left feeling unsupported and without closure. Communication became inconsistent, and many emails went unanswered. At a very stressful and emotional time, we felt left in the dark about the status of our case. Rather than helping us reach a proper conclusion, she has indicated she is withdrawing from representation, leaving the matter unresolved. This process felt far more focused on billing than on achieving results. I strongly urge anyone considering hiring Farah to thoroughly research and ask detailed questions before making that decision.
Thank you for your review. Of course, we are very concerned whenever we see that a client has been dissatisfied with our services. First, even though this review was submitted in English, this client is not fluent in English. The language barrier was pointed out to the client in advance of retaining Ms. Ahmed. Nevertheless, the client insisted upon having Ms. Ahmed represent her. The language barrier required that each communication directly with the client, and all preparation for hearings as well as the hearings themselves, had to involve an interpreter and a third-party advocate. This obviously delayed communications and opened the door to miscommunications. In addition, the client often did not communicate, but rather had various family members and a third party communicate on her behalf. Because we are bound by client confidentiality, Ms. Ahmed could not respond to the family members or the client’s third-party advocate.

Despite the client’s claim of unclear communication, weak guidance and weak representation, she received very favorable outcomes in two temporary orders hearings, one providing her with custody, child support, financial maintenance, and the other order attorney’s fees to be paid by her opposing party. These positive results are clearly indicative of the quality of our representation.

As to the amount paid by the client, our documented records indicate $12,000, not the “over $17,000” claimed by the client. When Ms. Ahmed asked for the retainer to be replenished (as provided for in our contract signed by the client at the onset of representation) the client indicated that she did not have the funds. Yet she actually asked Ms. Ahmed to continue to represent her. Obviously, we cannot continue representation without compensation.

Subsequently, we were advised by the State Bar of Texas that a grievance was filed with the Texas State Bar. That grievance was promptly dismissed as not finding any professional misconduct.

The positive results at the two hearings clearly indicate Ms. Ahmed performed successfully. In addition to her complaint, this client and/or her friends and family are apparently engaging in an apparent attempt to manipulate our ratings by submitting a total of seven one-star reviews with inaccurate negative observations. Six of these reviews clearly violate Google’s strict rules that reviews may only be submitted by the client/customer. We are taking appropriate actions to address these fraudulent reviews.

We hired this attorney to represent us in a divorce case and paid over $17,000 in legal fees. Unfortunately, despite the significant amount spent, we did not receive the progress or resolution we expected. Our case remains without a complete conclusion, and we feel we were left without clear direction or closure. Communication became a major issue. Emails often went unanswered, and we were not kept adequately informed about the status of our case. At this point, she has indicated she is withdrawing from counsel, yet there has been no clear transition or formal resolution, which has left us feeling confused and unsupported. From our experience, the process felt heavily focused on billing rather than achieving meaningful results. We understand that legal matters are complex and outcomes cannot be guaranteed, but we expected stronger advocacy, clearer communication, and a more definitive strategy after such a substantial financial investment. We hope this feedback encourages improved communication and transparency for future clients.

Dear Mark,
Thank you so very much for this quite splendid, very thorough review. We always feel particularly good when clients recognize us for compassion and support. Family law issues always engender stress and anxiety and we feel like it is important to give folks a sense of calm and peacefulness that come with regaining control of a difficult situation. We wish you good luck and Godspeed in your future.
Hi Rachel, thank you for taking the time to reward us with your five stars. So glad we were able to help!
It's been 10 years since the last time I chose Mrs. Brown to represent me. I still have problems with my ex wife asking for more child support. Mrs. Brown made me lose my 401k, my property, and never did anything to help me win anything is court. My ex doesn't even let me see my children for 6 years now. After I lost everything in court, Mrs. Brown and my ex wives lawyer went out for brunch. I would have let it go, yet I'm still haunted by all the damage that was done to me. Now I have a respirator and take medication for my heart. I was young and she knew this. No person should ever suffer like this. I won't expose my name, but I know that Mrs. Brown will remember this case. I'm not a phony person like you mentioned on your reply.
Thank you for your review, Mr. X. Of course, we are unable to provide a specific response for two reasons: First, you chose to use a pseudonym so we cannot research it. Secondly, we have handled hundreds of family law cases over the past ten years and it is impossible for us to remember every one. Having said that, we offer the following:
• We cannot recall even a single case handled by our firm in which one of our clients lost everything. Judges are reluctant to order dramatically lopsided property divisions, let alone award everything to one party and nothing to the other.
• We are very sorry Mr. X’s wife has not let him see his children for six years. But anything that happens after a divorce is adjudicated by a judge is final and is beyond our control. Mr. X would almost certainly have been granted visitation under all but the most egregious circumstances. Mr. X could have refiled a case against his ex-wife if she denied him visitation.
• The condition of Mr. X’s health is, of course, very distressing. We hope and pray he obtains quality medical care to address his health issues
Working with Patricia L. Brown and Associates was a wonderful experience! We have used them for the Will and Medical Care package for my husband and I. Recently we recommended them for my Dad. We went with him and again we were just thrilled with their professional services and team! Their prices, services and location were just perfect for us!
Dear Diana,

Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this wonderful review. We were so pleased we were able to provide the help to you, your husband and your dad. We wish you all the best for a happy and healthy future.

Best regards,

Patricia L. Brown
A couple years ago 2022( time frame here is important!) I hired Farrah to help us gain full custody and adoption with parental rights taken from biological father. She did that. We were grateful. We asked how we were supposed to get the birth certificate she said I had to contact county clerk for the paper work and that’s all the information we were given. We got the paper work and the money and we went to the place to try to get the new birth certificate. They told us our attorney never filled the necessary paperwork and now we either needed our attorney to do what they were supposed to do or now we would have to do it all ourselves. We call Farrah and she tells us that this isn’t their job and it’s on us to go back to the county clerk and figure it out. Mind you she knew this and didn’t tell us anything about this. You would think after payments of thousands of dollars she would have been able to help us. Well now we are still stressed trying to figure out the birth certificate for health insurance purposes and my son would like to be home schooled but they need his new birth certificate to enroll him. We are still paying on the loan we had to take out to pay for her services to be abandoned with no information. More than likely we will get some sort of response about how it’s not their fault as I see another review has received. They get the job done ish. She got us through the court process but when I tell you she legit charges you if you speak for less than 5 minutes but yet can’t spend the few minutes to file the paperwork that the people in charge told me she was responsible for filing. Even after we went to court the last time I received another bill for god knows what I wish I remembered. But they will bill you for even more money and not tell you the job wasn’t completed. Just make sure you know exactly what you need done and what of it they will actually do. It’s a LOT of money to still be dealing with this years later.
Dear Ms. Buxton,,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and understand how frustrating and stressful this situation has been for you and your family. Our goal is always to provide thorough and supportive legal services, and we regret that you feel we fell short in this aspect.

We are pleased that we were able to assist you in successfully completing the termination and adoption that you were seeking. Regarding the birth certificate, we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding about the steps required following the adoption. Our records indicate that we provided guidance on how to complete the process independently, as discussed at the conclusion of your case. However, we understand that navigating these administrative steps can be challenging, and we would be happy to assist in clarifying any remaining concerns.

Please feel free to reach out to our office, and we will do our best to provide you with additional direction on obtaining the birth certificate. We value your trust and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

Wishing you and your family all the best,

Patricia L. Brown
I have hired and worked with Farah Ahmad on my child support modification case. The video that they post about their firm they talk about having empathy which I yet to see. I have paid close to $20k and still haven’t gotten any child support on my case that was approved 7 months ago! I have requested my attorney for some order which she denied adding to my case stating “oh that’s not possible in Texas and that’s not how things are done here” I had my case prep in another state which was handled much better and professional. If you are looking to pay lots of money, have an attorney who calls you back while she is eating or late or in the evening then this is the firm for you.
Dear Ms. Reyhaneh,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we wish all our clients were satisfied with our service, we certainly understand your frustration and sincerely apologize for any shortcomings you experienced during and after your case. We strive to provide compassionate and effective legal representation to all our clients. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services.

Regarding your specific concerns:
We clearly understand your completely reasonable concern about obtaining timely child support. There are two phases to achieving that. First, to obtain favorable judgments from the court. Secondly, once you have a judgment from the court, to actually receive that support in a timely manner. Without going into any details of your case on this public forum in order to protect your confidential information, we believe that we performed every action necessary to obtain a very favorable judgment from the court in a timely and effective way, and did indeed obtain a ruling that was in accordance with your legal and financial objectives. We also completed the appropriate post-trial paperwork. This was the work for which you hired our firm, and we believe you were satisfied with this outcome. Once this work was done, our contract with you was completed.

It appears that your dissatisfaction results primarily from issues that have arisen after our work performed on your behalf was completed. We are no longer involved in this pursuit since you asked for direct contact with the office of the Attorney General. If you wish to re-engage us in this pursuit, please let us know.

As regards our communications with you, we acknowledge that communication is crucial in attorney-client relationships. In most family law cases, clients are eager to keep advised of any new details or changes in their case. We feel we represent our clients 24/7 and may be guilty of calling on weekends or evenings, if called for. We apologize for disturbing your evening. We will address this concern with Farah to improve communication protocols and more closely monitor individual client preferences in that regard.

Sincerely,

Patricia L. Brown
I am so thankful for my experience with these wonderful people. I have had a time of it, dealing with my situation, and they definitely handled it with the professional firmness needed to get results. I have felt heard and supporter through the process as well. I would highly recommend! I simply do not have words for how thankful I am for their help.
Dear Ms. Cook,

We so appreciate you taking the time to post this lovely review. Family law issues can be so stressful and we are pleased you felt heard and supported throughout the process. We wish you good luck in the future, and thank you again!
