I have never had to hire an attorney for anything. I’ve always been on the other side, working with different attorneys trying to mend families and advocating for children. However, due to terrible decisions made by leadership I had to make the dreadful decision to resign from my job. Months later I was unlawfully charged for something that everyone knew wasn’t true. My mom recommended Matthew Shealy to me because he was recommended to her. I trust my mom, so I went with Matthew. This was the worse decision I’ve ever made in my life. Matthew never worked for me. I gave Matthew everything he needed to settle my case and he did absolutely nothing with it. I practically begged him to file a motion to dismiss and he refused telling me the state law had changed and he couldn’t. I had to call him repeatedly to talk to him. He didn’t return calls nor did he respond to my emails. I’ve requested a meeting with him and he still has yet to respond to my email. I would not recommend Matthew Shealy to anyone. He works for the corrupt system called the legal/justice system, and not the individual. He had the audacity to say to me, “I think only a fool would turn down PTI”. And I told him I thought only a fool would ask me to take PTI for something they know I didn’t do. The nerve of this man to say something like that to me as if he were right. When I told him I didn’t trust him to represent me and I wanted a refund, he had the receptionist write me a check for $500.00. I have a contract stating that I would be refunded all or part of my money according to what had been done on my case. Matthew filed a discovery motion and nothing else in over two years. He can keep $500.00, but he needs to refund me the remainder because he’s done absolutely NOTHING for me. I gave him everything he needed to prove my case. That motion was not thousands of dollars, and I requested a meeting regarding this and he has failed to respond. I’m an educated individual who has worked for and with many attorneys throughout my career and I know my rights, and I am going to exercise them. Matthew Shealy is a rude, disrespectful joke of an attorney and God is going deal with him just like he’s going to deal with all the other individuals involved in the mess they’ve created.
