Pat Malone and Heather Kelly are incredible advocates for their clients. They work tirelessly to get the job done and when I have worked with them, they treat the client with compassion and keep the client informed each step of the way. When I have a case in Washington D.C., Virginia or the surrounding areas, they are my first call.

When you have a case that you have to discuss multiple times it is extremely traumatic, and calling this firm made it so much worse. The paralegal who answered the phone today couldn’t have been more dismissive. She told me to look up defamation, when she in fact didn’t even know if it was possible for me to file a case of that nature. I feel like she was cutting me off because my children were in the background. Sorry I had to be a mom while also trying to handle my business. Maybe my tone of voice was too colorful for her perhaps. I’m not sure but her being dismissive came from a place that I hope she doesn’t display to other clients like myself. And she didn’t really listen at all. When I stated that I would submit an inquiry online to paint a fuller picture she stated that I am unable to do so since she already spoke on behalf of her firm to not take my case. How can you be denied access to an attorney? How can she make that call? While I understand every attorney has the right to refuse a case that’s out of their scope of practice, doesn’t a potential client have the right to send a fuller picture VIA email for an attorney to read at their leisure? She told me that attorneys that take cases on a contingency bases don’t charge for consultations. Were there any options for a free consultation? It’s really coming full circle for me that not only was I denied a fair assessment at Veteran Affairs, I was actually just denied, again, access to legal assistance Because of a paralegal who just couldn’t see pass her own unconscious bias. This may not be a fact to her. But it’s a reality for me. I am hugely disappointed in the way I was dismissed. And I would recommend that people submit an online inquiry rather than call. Because you’ll feel victimized again.

Extremely personable and considerate staff. I never felt like I was being pushed into making any decisions. I never had to worry, I knew that Patrick Malone and Associates had my best interests in mind.

After the unthinkable happened we searched for malpractice lawyers. It was important that our family hired a firm that understood our loss and treated us and our deceased with respect and care. Patrick Malone and his associates had that in spades! The kindness, compassion and respect with which we were treated and the aggressiveness with which he tackled the case was very comforting to all of us. While a monetary value can never be placed on our loved one's life the settlement, I feel, was enough to make this surgeon think twice the next time he operates. I strongly recommend Patrick Malone & Associates to anyone needing legal counsel. I was involved in a "Slip & Fall" case---resulting in me breaking my back with a severe compression fracture of the L1. I sought out the legal advice of Alfred Clarke who is a lawyer within this firm. I fell on a super slippery surface while walking to my pool at my gym. It resulted in me being in a very restrictive back brace, not being able to drive/work for 6 months, numerous doctor appointments/X-rays/CAT scans, and 2 months of 3 days a week of PT as the final step in healing. For 8 months it was a possibility I would require back surgery at the end of all this. Mr. Clarke collected all of my medical bills/paperwork and worked hard on my case. I felt I got a great out-of-court settlement due to his hard work and persistence---always looking out for my best interests. He also stayed in constant contact with me keeping me up on my case and the latest developments. He always sought my approval before making the next move and before accepting a final settlement. Updated review: The firm responded to my original review (below) and suggested that I'm confusing them with another firm. However, the attorney I met with is pictured in the firm's photos and their address is the exact location as where I reported for my initial consultation. **************************** I would not recommend this firm. I am giving them 1 star only because I cannot rate them 0 stars. I contacted this firm seeking representation and had only one in-person consultation. After the attorney I worked with received the records he requested from me, he stopped returning my calls and would only communicate via email and postal mail. I expected to be treated with some decency. I also expected to have more than one in-depth conversation with that attorney because it is sometimes better to have a healthy dialogue with someone in order to flesh out the details of a situation that’s complicated and doesn’t fit neatly into a cookie cutter narrative. I thought I would be interviewed by a professional with critical thinking skills and have an opportunity to counter what was provided by the other party and discuss discrepancies in the records—but there was no true interest in finding out the truth. Dealing with this firm was a major disappointment and waste of time; however, the experience taught me to make better decisions when researching law firms for future needs.
