lol top recommendation for contingency based estate lawyers, butttt they arent contingency based and you cant get a consult for the most basic estate help?? i called, some girl answered with poor customer service. its like you could hear the gen Z stare through the line. i tell her i need a consult with an estate lawyer, she asks if i need a probate lawyer. I say im uninterested in reopening probate and that I just need some things looked into. i ask about contingency based, she says "we dont do that" i ask why their entire ad says "dont pay unless we win" if its not true, she says nothing. like literally a whole minute of dead silence. i tell her id like a consult with an estate attorney regardless. she sends me a questionaire asking who i want to sue and why? (i dont want to sue anyone? we just need help looking into trusts and life insurance) but i fill out the questionaire anyways, explaining the situation reiterating that we need help looking for life insurance and trusts. you know, that thing thats pretty much the entire job of an estate attorney? i receive an email back basically saying "none of the lawyers here can help, but good luck with the lawsuit" (which again, theres no lawsuit??) im not sure if the receptionists are just illiterate? but its laughable to advertise yourself as a contingency based estate attorney, while not being contingency based AND unable to do the most basic estate lookup. all this to say, if you need someone to look into your grandparents life insurance policies, this aint the place that can help you lol

If you are on a Met Life Legal, do not call this law office. They will decline providing you services, despite being listed as a participating firm. On two occasions, after telling them my name, the first question they asked was, “Are you a legal plan member.” The first time I called they straight up told me they weren’t taking on legal plan clients. The second time I called, a week later to see if I could get someone new on the line, the intake person asked the same legal plan question before asking the attorney if they were taking on new family law clients for a name change. I’m thinking my answer to the legal plan question was the determining factor the second time too.

The receptionist is cold. Transferred me twice to a voicemail to handle my issue and I never received a call back in 1 and a half months when we previously were seen and had a good experience. Now my third time calling I asked for the persons direct phone she transfers me to and she said no I’ll transfer you to her voicemail, as if knowing nobody would take my call.

I have called them and they never have attorneys accepting clients so I give up with Pearson Butler

I hired Mary Bevan to represent me during my divorce. While she initially presented a positive outlook and said she would advocate for a fair outcome, the reality was far different. Her communication throughout the process was minimal, and during mediation, she admitted to taking her sick child to daycare, which I feel, motivated her to finish fast that day. She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies—over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex’s bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate—someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome. I do not recommend her to others going through divorce, especially if you're in a vulnerable financial or emotional position.

Rachel was very helpful in listening and advising us on our case. Despite the fact that she doesn't practice law where we need help, she was still able to refer us to the right attorney.

The most difficult lawyers to get ahold of by far. Even for simple stuff it's an act of congress to get someone to put you on the schedule. Very dissatisfied.

We called and asked if they could write a cease and desist letter. A Jennifer Later emailed us that an Adam Kunz charges $100 for 30 minutes. When a law firm won’t tell you if they can assist you or not without charging a fee it’s a scam.

Russ is great to work with and the front desk is delightful

My fiancé hired Mary Bevan to help her with a custody matter. After the first hearing we had concerns with Mary's approach and confidence in the court room, after the 2nd hearing we realized she was as good as having no legal counsel. She has no control whatsoever in the court room and she allowed the apposing lawyer to walk all over her. It got to the point where it seemed like Mary didn't believe my fiancé and constantly kept telling her to be honest in order for her to be able to help. My fiancé never lied and was honest from the start. We ended up firing her and hiring a new lawyer. It took the new lawyer 1 hearing to get the case resolved, Mary had 7 months and didn't do anything.

I found Pearson Butler via MetLife legal plan. Connected with Russ to get our family trust in place. Straight forward to complete, no complaints there. Reached back out to Russ about a completely separate matter unrelated to estate planning. His response was "I do not practice law in this area and thus, have not idea." I guess I just had more expectation than a lazy response with typos. Too much to ask if there's someone he can put me in contact with? I will be moving on from Pearson Butler and find another firm to do estate planning in the future.

Oh my goodness, lawyer was sooo awesome and knowledgeable love him
