I highly recommend Peter Hanson law offices. They helped me through a very stressfull time. I was in need of an attorney to represent me after being charged with OWI and two other traffic charges. The first day that I met Mr. Hanson he told me that I would not need to step foot in a courtroom. He explaind to me exactly what was going to happen, how much my fine would be and what I would need to do to satisfy the requirments of the court. His secretary told me who to call to help me with these court requirments. With Mr Hanson's help, two of the charges were dismissed and the amount of money that I had to pay the court was far less than he originally told me it would be. After everything was settled, he returned to me part of the retainer that I payed him because the time he had in my case cost less than the retainer fee. They were very professional and helpfull. Also, Mr. Hanson and his office staff are very nice people to deal with and I thank them very much!

I hired Mr. Hansen for my OWI case and it was one of the most stressful experiences of my life. I took a full day off work, drove 4 hours, and lost pay just to show up to a court date his office never told me was canceled. When my license was suddenly revoked, I was told I was on my own because he only handled the ‘criminal side.’ I fired him after realizing his lack of communication left me completely unprotected. I filed my own DOT appeal out of desperation — and within minutes of hiring a new attorney, my driving privileges were restored. I paid $665 for almost nothing. I genuinely hope anyone facing OWI/DUI charges looks elsewhere so they don’t go through what I did. Follow-up: After posting my review, the attorney responded publicly with a very long and personal message that included unnecessary legal details. I will not argue publicly about my case, but I will say this: I hired an attorney for communication and guidance. Instead, I received almost no contact, was never told my court date was waived, and discovered my license was revoked without any warning from his office. I am glad a new attorney resolved the issue within minutes, but it was disappointing to see a professional respond in such an aggressive and defensive way rather than taking responsibility. I stand by my original review.

Unfortunately I had to file bankruptcy and Peter did a great job. Just had a small claims against me 4 years after discharge and it only took a letter from Peter to shut it down.
