James was HORRIBLE to work with! We connected through my legal insurance as I needed representation on a financial matter my HOA was claiming I was responsible for. All he did was send a letter to my HOA and didn't bother to continue working with me after the HOA (through their counsel) sent (what I felt) was a lousy BS response. I was left to find more capable and reliable attorney that would ACTUALLY help. It's a good thing I have legal insurance to cover for what little time he spent on my case. Because the horrendous experience I endured is not worth paying a dime out of my own pocket. Shame on you James!
Not helpful at all, We don’t know very much about filing court order, We were trying to get advise about a small claim, and he made it seemed like our case does not worth his time. Very disappointed with the interaction.
Mr. Poormon was great. I was facing 4 charges totaling 23 points against my license with a minimum 10 days in jail. Richard was able to get this reduced to a deferred judgment for 12 months. Which after the 12 months, as long as I haven’t received any citations other than minor traffic infractions (less than 4 points), everything will be dropped completely and nothing will ever be reported to the dmv or insurance company. Thanks again Richard! I will recommend you every chance I get.
Worked with Richard, he helped me move a 6 pointer down to a 1 pointer, and was the absolute best case scenario. I would hire him again if the circumstances arose. Very friendly and professional. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend them!
I was going to lose my license for over a year, and I was going to have to pay over $1,000 in fines, and Richard Poorman helped me keep my license with minimal points, and I only owed $200 in fines.
Worked with James Peters and my experience was somewhat alright. He did help me with a legal matter but most of the time when I dealt with him, he seemed put off by me (not sure why). After my circumstances changed, he seemed hellbent on just getting rid of me and moving on to the next thing he had. I'd just be careful of who you choose to represent you.
What a joke. Nearly two years later and I'm still very much injured with no remedy because they send you to chiropractors! He just stopped talking to me 6 months ago. I guess I was supposed to handle the case and treatment and he was just supposed to get paid. They sent me to a Chiro who continually threatened to kick me off their whatever. I have received a severe head injury among numerous other injuries. Nobody cares, especially not Mr. Poormon or his wife who dropped my wife as a client but her law firm, Great West Law was happy to take money out of family to get a few extra dollars for themselves. just look up this guy's FB you'll see where his time is really spent. Don't like what I have to say? Really to my new lawyer bruh. You def will have to.
Receive their information as a referral. Called them to discuss my case and was met with a rude tone and general unwillingness to help.
completely laughable, tried saying because a vehicle was sold as is, that supersedes colorado state and federal laws against false advertising and consumer laws, really tried saying that even though its illegal for a dealership to sell a vehicle that wont pass emissions that because the as is voids them of any liability which is completely false, even the Colorado Dept of Revenue said that's not true at all

So, when requesting assistance from them and following up to get information on the letter they "sent" to my complex regarding warrant of habitability, they block my emails and don't follow up. How many emails are too many? 5 supposedly, don't use them if you'd actually like a friendly team that wants to help. Can guarantee that you never get any work from me. Especially with the " I don't have time for this attitude" at least have the decency to tell me to look elsewhere. Waste of time and will be making sure you get no compensation from MetLife.
He at least called me back and gave me some advice. I would say he is a straight shooter. Straight-to-the-point.
Richard was awesome with creating the documents I needed. He was quick and had great communication.
Take my advice go with a TV lawer you'll fair better, my case was stretched out for so long, just not to go to court in the end... had I accepted the original offer I would have faired better before all the fees and the prerequisite amount... I could kick my self for taking the advice to go to him... if I ever need another lawyer I'll go with Molly Jansen.
I contacted PetersPoormon, because my partner and I were served a summons for an unlawful eviction and needed council for litigation. We were previously working with a different attorney on the correspondence/negotiation side of this issue, but are now looking to retain a new lawyer who is covered under MetLife legal benefits, because eviction litigation can cost thousands of dollars. As I was explaining why we needed to find a lawyer covered by our MetLife policy, he cut me off, and told me "I'm not interest. I won't take a case where another lawyer is involved. That's it. Okay?" Maybe MetLife doesn't pay them enough or something, but he is not motivated by helping people. He seems incompetent at best, and egotistical at worse. I would not consider working with someone like this, neither for arbitration NOR litigation, because I would not trust him to consider the client's needs/priorities above his own when representing them, NOR exhibit the attention and agility required in litigation.
Richard and team were really timely, responsive, and helpful with pulling our documents together, taking feedback, and notarizing them in their office. I was very happy to connect with them and know who I will call when I'm next in need of legal services.
Great group to work with.
