I am extremely satisfied with Plumides, Romano and Johnson. I was currently dealing with a local law firm located in Uptown Charlotte who were horrible in every way. We fired them and hired P,R & J and immediately saw progress. My divorce by publication was finalized in less the six months. Long story short: if you need real legal help, keep scrolling. I hired this firm for a legal separation and property settlement agreement and paid about $7,000 for what ultimately amounted to the level of work provided by an online legal document service. After the initial consult, my attorney never even called me again. Despite repeatedly asking, she could not give me even a general idea of what to expect in alimony—something most women need to understand before committing significant legal fees. I received no legal strategy and no meaningful guidance. Most of what I was billed for involved revising language I personally drafted, with little to no attorney-level input. When my situation escalated and I asked for help, there was still no proactive support. When I questioned the lack of progress and the billing, I was abruptly dropped as a client, despite the attorney knowing my husband was threatening to file in another state. I was left legally unprotected at a critical moment. Within weeks, I resolved the matter on my own using an online legal service. I later submitted a written complaint to firm leadership and received no response. Unacceptable. If you’re looking for hands-on guidance, financial clarity, and real advocacy during a divorce, go elsewhere. This firm was unable to show up when needed or provide even basic expectations around alimony or settlement.
