Ms. Neary was immediately abrasive and argumentative. I wouldn't find it productive to bother to call this firm or Ms. Neary at all. I was reprimanded and interrupted from the get go for using a "speaker phone" when I was using a headset to hear better. Her ego would be nearly impossible to work with, if at all. I felt personally interrogated instead of discussing the reason I had originally called about. I don’t think I said three sentences when attempting to answer her questions before she snapped back saying she wasn’t interested. If you want to be treated like an equal human being, do not call. Ever.
Kathleen/Cathleen was extremely condescending and rude from the moment the phone call started. They offer free consultations, but don’t preface with the fact that you’ll be judged, interrupted, and shut down before you even have a chance to finish your explanation. I found it strange that when she asked what I wanted to sue for was, and when I used the correct legal terms she stopped me and said “let’s stop using the legal terms”. What else would you as a lawyer prefer? On top of that, she began with telling me every lawyer would say the same thing to me, asked me more about my testimony, then changed it to “I won’t take your case. But I highly recommend talking to other lawyers”. Which one is it? The farthest thing from personable, reminded me of the employer I actually reached out to her for. One of the most unprofessional practices I’ve ever spoken to.
With so much false advertising on Google, it is hard to find Civil Rights, Constitutional Law or Civil Litigation attorneys. I consider myself experienced in criminal justice, law, psychology and advocacy....however, I've read that Petitions for Writ of Mandamus and Original Actions are complex and you need attorney assistance, even if just limited scope. Seems Powers Law is either seemingly discriminating against me, or like most in Lincoln, they don't do anything in the areas of practice I need. Personal Injury, Malpractice attorneys, business law, real estate, etc but for some reason noone will help you with what you need. ACLU ignores you, Legal Aid declines tons of cases....
Kathleen goes above and beyond for her clients
Garbage. Another lawyer in nebraska not willing to fight for the employee. All because my case won't win them alot of money..
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Vince, and he consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of patience and respect in every interaction. His ability to remain composed and understanding, even in the most challenging situations, is truly admirable. It’s no surprise, given his reputation as one of the best lawyers in the Northeast, that he approaches his work with such professionalism and integrity.
I had a great experience working with the folks at Powers Law. They showed great concern for my health and well-being and I knew they were doing their best for me. Thank you!!
My experience with Powers Law was professional and caring. After my car accident I was overwhelmed and unsure of my legal rights. Vince helped me understand my opinions. His dedication to my case resulted in a settlement that exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Powers Law.
I called them to learn more about their marketing values, but I was hoping to also connect with someone on a case that I had. I got a very rude response that they’re not interested in any marketing and just hung up on me. It was just a very backward way of communication. Just lack of professionalism? At least take a phone call. I didn’t even get the opportunity to say why I was really calling. I never leave a review, but this one was just not a great experience. I went ahead and just called a different lawyer and they spoke with me. They are handling my case and I got to learn a little bit about their marketing. If anyone from Powers actually reads this, every one of us in Lincoln are your potential clients. And professionalism is of the upmost importance.
Elizabeth Govaerts is great to work with.
Kathleen does not have bedside manners at all. Wanted a consultation but she was severely Ill hearted and judgmental. Not a professional attorney in my personal opinion I would not recommend Kathleen to anyone.
Kathleen is not so nice. I just called her and she was utterly disrespectful and rude. Um nope, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
After 3 years of working with this firm, I am now having to hire a new attorney to handle my appeal. Disappointing.
Copper Moon steakhouse is a great place to go for a high quality, affordable meal. If you are looking for a place to eat outside of Lincoln, that's not too far away, I would highly recommend.
I talked to Kathleen about 2 different situations. Instantly she was judgmental about my situation and made me feel like I was a completely worthless and a waste of her time. A lawyers creed of professionalism was not in her vocabulary. Very disappointed.
Vince Powers filed my case, screwed up my case, dropped out my case. Making severely injured client to make legal fees for him. Shame on you Vince Powers ! He should be disbarred! Stay away from him !
These people at Powers Law are the best in town. Thanks for your help.
