I would stay away from this guy if I were you. He lures you in to get your money then pays very little attention to your case and never returns calls or talks with you to build a case. He's a former public defender and still acts like one. He automatically agrees to your guilt and all accusations made against you only to seek some sort of plea bargain. I got completely screwed with this guy representing me. Find another attorney who will spent time representing you the right way. BEWARE! STAY AWAY!!

He is lucky I can’t give him a worse one. This guy is something else ( Joe Prieto). I tell him my situation. I tell him what I thought about my case (consultation was a joke) He gave me no insight whatsoever. Then rushes me to pay him. Leaving me to explain that I just started a new job due to my old boss and friend passing. my financial situation doesn’t leave me eligible to pay upfront. So then he tells me I will work with you fill out a sheet for a payment plan and I will accept it if it is reasonable. I put my bills and income together and came up with the very best offer I could. Which would have had him paid off well before my case even ended. MIND YOU I ALSO had told him I can pay in full or even come up with half and do it that way it’s gonna take time. He then after getting my hopes up proceeds to tell me “that’s not good enough” I need half upfront and I need you to pay the rest off in half that time! Better Yet! He takes ALL OF MY CARD INFORMATION DOWN (via his form) and tells me sorry I don’t think I will be good for your case and refuses me as a client !!! I’ve had better experiences with public defenders ! Everyone I email this guy a document related to my case or information his response is “send it again, I didn’t get it”. I have fully lost hope in the justice system all any of these maggots seem to care about is money. I WILL HOWEVER ADD I HAVE HEARD GREAT THINGS, it’s too bad I didn’t share the same experience.
