Michelle Hernandez Booooooo!
This is the worst firm! They refuse to answer the phones or return a phone call or respond to an email. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
They tell you they speak Spanish, but it's a lie. Nobody helps you in Spanish, and they've charged me double. They've frozen my bank account. It's all a lie.
Had a lot of worries calling in and trying to resolve my issue for setting a payment schedule. Representative Sundance, gave me options I wasn't aware of and we were able to work out a deal. Thanks Sundance for being human with me. Cheers
Manager Parish Reid worked REALLY HARD to help me get my debt resolved. He really truly went above and beyond, and I am so very grateful! It was a tricky situation, not really cut-and-dried, but everything is resolved and I could not be more thrilled. Thank you!!!
Hard to get a hold of and very frustrating they gave me incorrect information to pay off this debt. But, the third guy I spoke to was very kind and understanding in my frustration and gave me a separate option to pay, assuring me nothing will happen since I have been exhibiting good faith effort to pay.
Awful assistance with any account! Cannot get any form of response back via phone call or email. What a joke.
I reached a settlement agreement with one person Sundance he is a real piece of work!! Then they raised the amount. I have paid the amount and I have sent a certified copy of full payment to the courts. With all account details !!Knowing these people will screw you over you better do everything you can to protect yourself!! They’re using this lady’s name an attorney out of Brookfield. She better be very careful because these people will cost her!! law license!! Fines!!
If you are being sued by this firm, make sure to keep on paper trials of communications as well as agreements, because they will not update your status, let alone respond to dozens of emails, voice mails, or phone calls (if you get them on the line, good luck, they'll hang up shortly after asking for your file number)
We had a miscommunication that ending up placing an old account with this company. Talking to a debt collector is an interesting experience…I was passed around to a few different people here but ended up with Erin Shotwell as my rep. I will forever be thankful to the switchboard gods for striking it lucky with Erin! She is amazing! If you are lucky enough to talk to her just pay whatever she asks for….she is the BEST, most reassuring, and sweetest debt collector phone rep on the face of the planet. Thanks Erin! If you lived closer we would totally hang out and be besties!
Absolutely horrible communication took over a week to get the bill paid never got any correspondence until I got a summons it was hard to just pay it off never got a confirmation that it was paid still locked out of the account and can't get a call back
Called ten times no one answers and no one calls back
Never answer the phone called 5 days in a row about five times a day. Nothing no answer no call back there’s gotta be something we can do to report them, 2/20 so update called ten times in a row . All between business hours. Nothing, and 2/21 currently , on call try number 4, nothing. Again not sure how this is legal, if we don’t respond they can do so much to us, but when we reach out, they don’t have to answer, can hang up for no reason when you’re trying to settle. I don’t get it. Can someone explain it to me ?
I was served with court documents in a debt collection matter involving Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC, represented by Rausch Sturm LLP. Service of process was handled by ABC Legal Services. The service packet delivered to me contained documents pertaining to a different individual. Those documents included personal and financial information unrelated to my case, including date of birth, partial account information, contact details, vehicle information, and property records. Upon notifying the firm of the error, I was advised that there was no identifying information that could be misused and that much of it was “public knowledge.” While certain court filings may be publicly accessible, there is a material distinction between information obtainable through independent public record searches and the direct disclosure of another individual’s personal and financial details due to clerical error. If documents belonging to another person were provided to me, it reasonably raises concern regarding the handling and distribution of my own personal information. Matters involving litigation and consumer financial data require diligence, accuracy, and appropriate safeguards. Legal matters involving consumers should be handled with precision and care. Errors involving unrelated individuals’ personal information should be acknowledged and taken seriously rather than minimized on the basis that certain details may be publicly accessible.
Incompetent idiots. They stopped taking payments from my account and I got sued by another law firm because of it and these people pocketed the payments I made to them and never credited my collections account. Filed a lawsuit against them two days ago.
They on behalf of Velocity Investments Llc filed a debt case against me January 24th, left the paperwork on my porch February 13th knowing that the defendant only has until the 14th of month to respond. Luckily the 14th was a Saturday and Monday was President's day so I had till the 17th to file my answer. Velocity never contacted me for a payment plan, I didn't even know they purchased an old debt. Then go and pull this low dirty tactic so hopefully they would win by default. I tried calling them tiday 3 times, on hold for a total of 47 minutes and they hung up on me all three times. Like its not hard enough in the world today, but the elites need more money.
I have had one of the most unprofessional experiences of my life with Rausch Sturm, specifically with attorney Martin Odstrchel. For weeks I have been trying to finalize a settlement THEY offered in writing, and despite being 37 weeks pregnant and needing this resolved before my baby arrives, their office has been completely unresponsive. The payment portal they directed me to doesn’t work, their collections email never replies, and multiple follow-ups have been ignored. The most concerning part is that I was accidentally sent another person’s legal case information. That means they emailed me someone else’s confidential documents, which is a major privacy issue and shows how careless and disorganized this firm is. Even after pointing out all the mistakes, Martin simply forwarded my messages to the same inbox that never responds and then disappeared again. It has now been over a week, and I still cannot even get working payment instructions. I am literally trying to pay them, and THEY are the ones making it impossible. This entire situation has caused unnecessary stress during very late pregnancy, and their lack of professionalism is honestly unbelievable. If this is how they handle client information and communication, I would be extremely cautious dealing with them.
Terrible communication, try to talk to a person and they just hang up on you, no call back and they don’t respond to voicemails so don’t waste your time leaving one. Update! Finally after an insane amount of tries I got ahold of someone, they didn’t seem to know what they were doing and had to transfer me to someone else, I’ve paid in full and have yet to receive a receipt or emails regarding the payment even after being promised I’d receive one! The place is a joke and I have filed a complaint with the federal trades commission as well as CFBP..
