Relevant Law - Colorado Springs

If your lawyer refused to play the 911 audio in civil court that got the accused charged and convicted in criminal court, what would you think? I hired Relevant Law to protect my family after false police reports and a swatting-related incidents. The person involved, Elvira Martin, was criminally charged and took an Alford plea for false reporting. We had strong evidence, including 911 audio, but Relevant Law refused to play that audio in court even though it was part of the evidence. Our lawyer didn’t even bring the evidence to court on the hearing day. We had already won the civil case by default, but that was later reversed, and I never got a clear explanation why. By Colorado Law after being swatted, I didn’t even have to prove damages, just present evidence. From my experience, he was unprepared and did not properly present the case or use the evidence. I hired him to protect my family and pursue accountability. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Relevant Law David Hinkle and Relevant Law were so incompetent that they lost to a criminal lunatic who was damned by a mountain of evidence in criminal court that forced them into an Alford Plea. Do you think Relevant Law intentionally sabotaged my case or they just another inept law firm in Colorado Springs preying on those in need?

I had a phone consultation with revalant law this morning.The service was absolutely astonishing. They kept everything understandable,all of my questions were awnsered throughly and promptly. If you are need of legal services I would highly recommend them.

Terrible. Billed for time not worked on case refused to do what I asked. Do not use. Basically stole my money and did nothing I asked.

Finding an attorney can be so daunting but Relevant Law has taken away all the stress and made finding a solution very easy. Their office is so welcoming and their staff is exceptional. Thank you for helping me so thoroughly.

Great experience, these folks are consummate professionals. All our concerns were answered down to the last detail, we now have a peace of mind about our estate. No need to look anywhere else, go see Taylor Minshall and his staff. It doesn't get any better.

Don’t sign with these people, told me I had a case paid almost 700.00 for them to tell me three weeks later the case was a wash. You mean you didn’t know this from the start, a more educated attorney’s office new right away with out payment. STAY AWAY OR AT LEASE GET A SECOND OPINION. If I could give zero stars I would or a nice middle finger peace gesture.

Don't waste your time or money on these people. The attorney was nice and knowledgeable, however the staff was deceitful in their billing methods. They don't care about helping you. All they care about is getting paid. Out of the blue they just dropped our case. No reason given. Therefore all of the money that we had paid them was a total waste. Again, find a company that actually cares about its clients, because its very clear this company does not.

Where do I start? We were in need of services for a new business venture and relevant law exceeded our expectations. These aren’t the guys in the 3 piece suit who talk to you like you ALSO have a law degree and confuse you with a bunch of jargon. These are your friendly neighborhood lawyers who relate to you and keep it professional. I highly recommend them!!

The entire staff is very capable and professional people to work with. All the work they provided was performed and completed in a very timely manner.

In summary: I really liked Relevant Law when I first hired them 9 months ago to help me with my small business legal needs; however, their communication (or lack their of), management, and business practices as of late are leaving me to seek legal counsel elsewhere. I do not recommend this firm for small business services. When I first retained Relevant Law, I was assigned an attorney who was really nice but “too busy” to take on my case. I waited months and months for a response from him before he finally passed my case load to another attorney, Zack. I really liked Zack—he was friendly and got me information I needed considerably faster than the first attorney; however, I didn’t hear from him for a couple of months. When I reached out, I was told he was no longer with the firm and another attorney would be taking my case. No problem, but I do wish they had contacted me about this. If I hadn’t contacted them, I wonder if they would have even bothered working and re-assigning my case. The next attorney I was assigned was your “classic” attorney. I wasn’t super impressed with him. He was always running late or needing to reschedule appointments. He would call me and have the same conversation with me over and over, despite me giving him the go ahead to wrap up my legal matters. I can only assume it was to rack up my bill. I received an e-mail from yet another attorney (#4 for those keeping count) with an update on my case. It looked like my legal matters would finally be wrapping up, but then I started to get phone calls about how I had no more money in my account. In between attorney’s 2-3, I had topped off my account with enough money to finish my last two business objectives; however, what Zack quoted me was 1/3 of what the newest attorney was charging me for the same service. I sent screen shots of Zack's quote and their response was simply “well we are still doing it cheaper than anywhere else.” It is possible Zack misquoted me, but they never should have proceeded with charging me 3x what I was quoted without checking in with me first. I understand the collaboration to get these cases done, but there is zero communication between attorneys, and their clients foot the bill. There was no effort to make things right with me. I am leaving this firm with a bad taste in my mouth and would not recommend them for any of your legal needs.
