I worked with Don Schirm and his staff on my recent family court case, and I could not be more grateful for the experience. I drove 16 hours one way to see my 4 year old little girl just to be wrongfully denied visit. I was then hit with two unwarranted restraining orders by my ex wife. I would not recommend Resolute Law based on my experience over nearly five years with them. The attorney handling my case, Adam, often failed to return calls or respond to questions, and rarely took time to discuss my concerns in detail. Our scheduled appointments were typically rushed, lasting only a few minutes, with little useful advice provided. While attempting to modify child support, I provided nearly two years of pay stubs and insurance documentation, yet the firm still questioned the accuracy of my information. They even contacted a separate employer (a company my business subcontracted for) rather than accepting official HR documents I provided to verify my employment details. Even after I clarified this with proper documentation, my concerns were ignored. Despite repeated attempts to get answers to direct questions, the firm rarely responded—yet I was still billed for emails and texts that went unanswered. To make matters worse, when the firm withdrew as counsel, they charged me for the work involved in preparing their own withdrawal. After they withdrew, they even called to remind me of an appointment still on their calendar and charged me for that, despite no longer representing me. Overall, my experience with Resolute Law was disappointing and costly. Communication was poor, accountability was lacking, and I was left feeling unsupported after years of working with them.

I strongly advise anyone considering Resolute Law Firm in Yakima to be specific with your wants and needs of your case. I hired Adam to represent me in a protective order case, and his handling of my case was alright. After I followed his advice to complete an anger management evaluation and provided documentation promptly, I repeatedly asked when we’d go to court or what the next steps were, I was being charged for every email and phone call—despite zero progress my case sat for months, showing no urgency, even when the protected party initiated a modification. That would have been the perfect moment to push for dismissal. Over the course of a year, I endured over 10 false allegations and a pending violation. Adam did defend me—but by then, it was too late. Resolute Law Firm’s billing is questionable, I found duplicate charges on my account, which were refunded without question After I closed my case and retrieved my remaining retainer, Adam was mor then willing to offer his advice and direction in other matters.

I can’t say enough good things about Don Schirm and his team at Resolute law. Everyone is very knowledgeable, helpful, polite and patient when explaining situations you don’t understand fully. Total Rockstars in the Courtroom 10 stars 🤩😎 they accomplished a settlement on my case that gave me almost everything I needed/wanted. I would not hesitate to retain him again!!!

He did a wonderful job handling my sons divorce. He went the extra miles it took with guardianship for his special need children. I will beforever thankful.

Update 7/22/24 - after 2 months since my initial call, they still haven't called me back. Update 6/22/24 - after a month since my initial call, they still haven't called me back. Didn’t return my calls 😡 I was referred to this office from Justice Law Yakima. Spoke to a receptionist in which she said they will give me a call back to discuss my case the following week. I didn’t receive a call back during the week so I followed up at the end of the week on which she said they will call me back the following week. Still, no call back. During hard times, we seek help. Communication is paramount to ensure help can or can’t be received.

I highly recommend Adam Sandoval to handle your family law needs. He listens to and understands sensitive matters. He conducts himself ethically, morally, and professionally in the court room. He is a wonderful advocate and is one of the few family law attorneys I trust and respect in our community.

Let me start off with how professional and understanding he was during the entire process. Numerous occasions of high stress were matched by a well rounded individual that talked me through the motions and needs of the case. I recently shared an experience with a close friend Adrea who had Adam as her attorney for a restraining order case. It was very difficult and terrifying for her. Adam was extremely supportive and caring and went the extra mile to make sure this case was heard in her favor, as her wellbeing depended on it. Adam is levelheaded, and calm in the face of danger and chaos, a great attribute to have as an attorney. Adam knows the law, and how to use it for his client's best interests. If you want an attorney who has your back look no further!! I had called 12 different attorneys and when they heard who I was up against, not one of them wanted to take my case!! Not only was Adam and his entire team so supportive going through such a difficult time in my life they were kind and kept my anxiety at a minimum! Adam is hands down the best family law attorney in Yakima. After having some bad experiences with other attorneys in Yakima, and paying tens of thousands of dollars with no result, I became sure that most lawyers are just money hungry and care very little about the outcome of the case. I was left with 4 weeks until my child custody case with no lawyer to represent me. I was terrified that I would have to defend myself.
