I was not impressed with Mr Krause as an attorney. I received a partially favorable decision. I was awarded disability, but no back pay. I waited 3 years and received $0 back pay. As far as being awarded disability. I'm over 50 and have an above knee prosthetic. I would have been awarded disability representing myself. Mr. Krause spoke with me 2 times in the 15 months he was my attorney. Once the day he was hired and once about 1 month before my hearing. He asked me two questions at the hearing and asked the vocational nurse 2 questions. He was not prepared at all. I was blatantly lied to by his lead Paralegal on more than one occasion. I was also asked to call several doctors to retrieve my medical records. Evidently the 13 months he had was not enough to gather these. I would not recommend Mr. Krause to anyone that is looking to hire an attorney. I mentioned to him that I was not pleased with his representation. Him being a mature and respectful attorney got his feelings hurt and has chosen not to file an appeal to The Hearing Council. I am now left to do this on my own. I can't find an attorney that will take my case this late in the process. Lastly, I am a 50 year old guy with an Above Knee Amputation, Spinal Stenosis with claudification of the nerve root, Degenerative Disc Disease, PTSD, and Depression. I use a cane and a walker.These are prescribed by a doctor. I have been in this condition for over 3 years and Mr. Krause could not get me any back pay.I will only say that Atticus can't control the lawyr. I would not recommend them to anyone. I talked to Rick Krause one time on the phone and at the hearing. And practically at the last minute I had to give them access to my patient portal so they could get my medical records. And his fee was way to high.
