The overall vibe I got from Shannon was very off putting. She hopped on a call with a very annoyed and dismissive tone. The entire phone call seemed to be her interrogating me about the discrimination I faced at my previous employer in a very invalidating way. She seemed to be triggered by my audacity to stand up for myself against racism which is very telling. I insisted on emailing her the paperwork about my case as I was uncomfortable explaining details of emotionally traumatic events in our first phone call. However, she badgered me into giving her all the details verbally. After I did so she ended the call without explaining anything about the firm. I had to call back to even find out what their fees were. I am grateful that I’ve found other representation because these people extremely careless and unprofessional and I’m positive they would have handled my case in the same manner.

I’ve had the pleasure to work with Shannon, and she has been very honest and gracious to my needs as a wrongfully terminated non-binary ex employer. I told Shannon what I needed, although we didn’t always agree she still understood and fought for what I demanded. I will say separately as a footnote, when you are making negotiations ensure that you include TAXES that you would take out yourself/taxes in general plus lawyer fee will be taken from “settlement rate”. Therefore ensure you negotiate at the highest settlement rate pertaining to your case.. ensuring you receive a fair amount after all dues are paid. Risman and Risman are A1 and work as a team which is very smart when up against matters. They work efficiently and accurately. I will choose them again any time!
