El Paso, TX
In my personal view, anyone looking into Robert Skipworth’s practice should take a very close look at the pattern in his reviews. When I read through them, the contrast between the detailed 1‑star accounts and the vague 5‑star praise is striking to me. Several of the negative reviews come from people describing very specific experiences — retainers being paid with nothing meaningful done, clients saying he had “no clue” in the courtroom, and reports of him keeping the full $3,250 after being fired within a couple of hours. Those kinds of details, in my opinion, tend to carry more weight than generic compliments. On the other hand, some of the glowing 5‑star reviews read, to me, like they could have been written by people with no real connection to El Paso or to any identifiable legal matter. Profiles like “Colson Jakai” and “Kamden Otto” offer broad, unspecific praise without describing a single concrete action he took as an attorney. One of them even posted attorney reviews in two different cities within a short time frame, which, in my opinion, raises questions about authenticity. My own experience aligns far more closely with the critical reviews. Based on my direct interactions with Skipworth, I have formed the opinion that he is unethical and dishonest, and that he is willing to stoop to anything. That is my personal impression, and it is the reason I have filed formal complaints with both the Texas and New Mexico state bars. To me, the pattern is hard to ignore: Specific negative reviews describing concrete events Vague positive reviews with no details My own firsthand experience matching the negative accounts In my opinion, anyone considering hiring him should read the detailed 1‑star reviews carefully and make their own judgment. For me, those reviews — along with my personal experience — paint a far more credible picture than the generic 5‑star ratings.
Mr. Skipworth pays attention to every detail, supports and researches ideas and is completely devoted to reaching a successful outcome for his clients. I have had an outstanding experience while working with Mr. Skipworth and would highly recommend him.

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY!! HE IS UNETHICAL!! PLEASE READ ALL THE REVIEWS!! DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!
should of listened to all the other negative posts. they are not there without a reason.
I realize how well he was respected as an attorney- universally. Best ethics, best practice, most diligent. There’s a reason someone has been successful for 50 years.
Thanks for your kind Review.
What a waste of time and money. He had no idea what he was doing and provided no useful information whatsoever. A little tip Mr Robert, if you’re not an expert on something, please be honest instead of wasting peoples time and money.
This is the worst lawyer ever. Did nothing for me. Paid him 3250.00 retainer and fired him after 2 hours and he kept all my money. Had no clue of what he’s doing in a court room. Wish I could give him negative 5 stars
