Robert Meeks knew I was innocent and still let me sit in county jail for 18 months before signing off on an 3yr sentence to go to prison for 10 more months and charged my family 5k..I wouldn't recommend him or his daughter to anyone..what a joke

I have been represented by both Mrs. Conine and Mr. Meeks in separate legal matters, and I am thoroughly impressed by their dedication and professionalism. Both attorneys are highly respected by the local community and the courts, demonstrating considerable experience in their field. TERRIBLE...Absolutely do not use!!!! We used for a custody case and he lost miserably. We felt like we were stuck and allowed a lot due to false hope he continued to give as a means to keep sucking in your money. Examples: we paid retainer and never knew what it went towards. Scheduled meetings and he would be 20 min or more late for and during the private meetings we had, he would take other client phone calls and discuss their case on the phone openly with us in the room. This was taking away from our allotted time of which he as always late for. The meetings would have numerous interruptions yet would still be billed for the entire hour. There was a lot of fraudulent billing for work or services not performed. Most all scheduled court hearings, he would show up to court late. Continue to put off the court dates as a means to extract additional billed hours. Charged 8 hours full bill rate for a 15 minutes in court to schedule a new court date(never know a real reason) and then wanted to sit out on the bench outside court room and smoke while talking about motorcycles. Yet, he billed for entire day fraudulently. Yes, you will be billed for his smoke breaks! He smokes a lot. Absolutely do not use this attorney! Almost a year after the case was resolved we received an additional 2800 bill from him. When questioning it was bills for made up items like the additional time spend talking on the park bench about motorcycles while he smoked. The numerous times the called us to get information that they had been provided up front in a 3 ring binder printed off and emailed. yet since they lost it, they charged again for us obtaining it. Numerous items such as this. Never once received a statement or breakdown of anything even though it was asked for several times. I denied the 2800 additional fraudulent charges. Never heard anything for a year and a collections company called. I explained and denied the charges with them and contacted Meeks office again to dispute the charges. Again they agreed to discontinue the charges. 6 months later I was served a week before a scheduled court hearing over the charges. I contacted the courts and asked to reschedule due to preplanned work trip the week of the hearing. I was directed to reschedule with Meeks office since they requested the date and hearing. I contracted them and explained the business trip for my work and had proof of it. They gave new proposed court date and would reschedule it so we could have it heard. They did not do as we agreed and had the case heard while I was on work trip anyway getting a judgement against me due to default. This attorney is crooked and will only steal your money. As far as my case was concerned. He told of all these wonderful things he could make happen in court and when it came down to it. Absolutely, did NOT deliver on anything. Actually cost me all these wasted attorney fees on top of dragging out the case a year longer then he should have. It was a custody case and this Attorney got his Butt handed to him in court. Absolutely terrible attorney and as a business, they are liars and fraudulent in their billing. You must Have a written contract and record ever single occurrence with this legal team. Yes, its a family affair. Choose a different attorney to represent you by all means. You will be money ahead and thankful. This attorney was never prepared and was blind sided ever step of the way as a result. Which will only cost you in the end. He IS going to charge you for all his mistakes and all his breaks. You will pay for his motorcycles and his daughters working for him. Choose wisely- choose someone else. This is my experience with Mr. Meeks and his team. Hope it helps others not fall victim.

Mr Robert Meeks is a fantastic lawyer he is very professional he genuinely cares about his clients don't believe any of the Hogwarts you see in the bad ratings he has been to court with me over 7 times and I have never walked out of the courtroom unsatisfied

I can only say one word about him you would not have enough room on here for me to brag on him he has done more for me than the last five lawyers I had my final word about Robert is EXCELLENT I have not finished court yet but I am very impressed just wish I had known him till the last minute

They are amazing. I have used them for several different issues and they always do an awesome job and always take care of their clients

Just to add to my first review which was unpleasant toward Mr. Meeks, he had called me very angry about the review and said he would withdrawal from my case. I started to mention that even at the time when I first hired him until the trial day he had given me no options or talked with me about how it was going. He lied to me for the first 8 months telling me the court would host a court hearing via zoom, a thing other states practice today, but came to be false later as the 'judge wouldn't allow it '. He never mentioned anything about how the process worked for the plaintiff to make the ruling legal in Michigan. The only thing Mr. Meeks did was defend me in court, and I never even knew that he didn't have much experience in creditor law until after the trial. Never did he make me understand exactly what the game plan was or options or anything. I received better advice from free consultation with other attorneys then the information this guy gave me in over a year. He is a hack. Don't hire him.

BEWARE!!!!!!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE HIRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hired Robert Meeks after speaking with him and he made it sound like he knew what he was doing and worked hard on all his cases. We had 3 court dates and EVERY COURT DATE he had his staff and me rushing around THE DAY of court to get documents and evidence for the hiring. We would have a month to prepare and he would have done nothing! Then I had to type out my own purposed parenting plan and send it back for them to charge me $50 to read over it and not change anything. Then held on to it for a month and try to play it off as they were waiting for me to give them the ok to send it to the other party. After the first court date and us (me and staff) rushing around, I talked with his paralegal at length about how unprofessional it was to be gathering documents the day of court. She insured me that it would never happen again it was an off day. After the 2nd time and they still had not sent the purposed plan I talked directly to Meeks and he tried gaslighting me stating “Ms. Eubank we won what else would of had me do that we didn’t.” Then I get the itemized bill (after asking for over 3 weeks and I owed them $1,400!!! I called bc I keep records of everything I do (email calls and time spent) on my case. They charged me for calls that never took place, work that I did and double for work they did TWICE! I called let them know I had an issue with the bill. The next thing I know he is filing to drop me as a client. 5 months and $3,000 later. During court he was cross examining and wasn’t making any sense. I was telling him to object to hearsay and going through our evidence to present it. He was unorganized unprofessional and a complete joke of an attorney. You’re better off to represent yourself.

Extremely unprofessional. Receptionist was rude on the phone. Clearly my court case was not his #1 priority. It was very clear when he failed to show up to the last court session. May soon be investigated by the BBB due to wrongful and unfair contracts he expects all clientele to ask. Get a better lawyer.

Would not suggest this firm.Due to lack of professionalism.Attorney Meeks did not appear for the third court date after payment. Would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I can not say enough about Bob. Not only is he very professional but he is also very caring. Bob is an amazing Attoreny and will give you and your family nothing less than 100 percent. I was blessed to have Bob represent me and more than satisfied with his hard work and dedication to my case. Also, Bobs staff is absolutely amazing!
