My name is Tonya Darby I'm writing in this review on behalf of Christopher Parker who is attorney in Akron Ohio I came to him for malpractice suit I had a surgery for pinched nerve to the left side of my shoulder in which they had to go into the front of my neck I ended up in the hospital in a medically induced coma for 5 days on a breathing machine and later on had to have a trach all behind a small Same Day Surgery Mr Parker took my case and told me there would be two reasons he called me one was to tell me I didn't have a case or that I did he in return called me he told me his nurse read over my medical records and seeing I had a case he charged me $400 for her to read over my medical records then he told me he had to look for a doctor that does that same surgery out of state to see if he could read over my medical records also he charged me $2,000 for that I never received phone calls from him this surgery took place April the 22nd of 20 23 Mr Parker took over my case in July of 2023 Mr Parker did very poorly at contacting me he did tell me he found a doctor and that it would take some time to look over my medical records I did my research just a little to understand that it takes anywhere from a year to three years for a malpractice suit here it is 2026 Mr Parker sent me a check in the amount of $1,471.48 never giving me all my money back in his words were if there wasn't a case my money would be returned and I only received the amount that he sent me I believe he held on to my case until the statue what's up where I could not find someone else and he verbally told me back in 2024 that there was a doctor looking at my medical records and that he had to move slow so it would take some time I feel so sad that a law firm would take a person that has nothing money away from them and don't contact or write or anything his letter stated he could not find a doctor but he told me he had one and that it was time consuming which I understood I feel so bad I feel used took an advantage of and I paid money I didn't have had to borrow for my children to pay all of this and I didn't get no case now I'm out of the remainder of my money I strongly advise anyone reading this to look into Christopher Parker before you use him as a lawyer he treats people very unfairly he takes money and does not solve the case.

This the law firm that participated in a Medically fragile child being taken from his mother and his death accelerated because of it. They filed emergency orders circumventing proper investigative procedures. While the emergency order did not exist in isolation. It was the mechanism that removed a medically fragile child from life-sustaining care against explicit warnings. When emergency legal tools are used in ways that predictably result in irreversible harm, accountability is not optional. It is essential. Shame on you. #JusticeForRyder

If he does your case for pro bono he sure isn't a good lawyer only if you pay them. He was assigned to my family and he couldn't even keep in touch with them just cuz we weren't paying he was assigned to them in courtroom I wouldn't use this guy for anything. I would give you negative 5 stars

Response from owner

We are sorry, but we have searched our system and you are not listed as a client or contact with our firm.

My son and I were involved in a homeowner's claim for the past four months. After receiving a" lowball" offer, we decided to get legal help. After an initial consultation with William Chris, he recommended I speak with Tom Coffee ,due to his vast knowledge of the insurance claims process. With Tom's expert guidance and recommendations, we received a satisfactory settlement within 2 days! I highly recommend Tom and the firm of Roderick Linton Belfance! Don Read

Thank you. Tom Coffee is an exceptional attorney and person.

Hello I’m back writing a 2nd review I gave you 1600.00 of my hard earned money !!!! Mr Steven j heimberger When I told you that I wasn’t pleased with your service due to the fact that I had to basically chase you down !!!! With poor communication honestly!!! I go pick up the check and I notice that you kept 700.00 of my money didn’t refund the full amount !! But you never explained to me about any fees when we did talk !!! So I looked on the paper and it stated that you charged me for creditors to stop calling but that’s false information!!!! And why it’s false information that you charged me for because the creditors called me and stated that they never heard a word from you or when they did call you or try to get something resolved it was always that you’re not in the office !!? So not only did you make the invoice up but you charged me for a service that you didn’t do so you didn’t mind taking my money but you also have poor communication!!!!

You retained me in early February to assist you with filing for bankruptcy relief under a chapter 7. You indicated you had a small trucking business that made minimal money after expenses and the only real asset was a semi-truck with limited value. After receiving your documents, it was apparent your income would likely disqualify you from filing a chapter 7 and you would most likely need to propose a repayment under chapter 13. Additionally, based upon the title provided, your semi-truck could have a value with a range exceeding $20k. We discussed the fact you needed to get an appraisal and it was not possible or prudent to proceed without doing so.

I understand this differed from the initial discussion we had, but the facts were substantially different than we discussed. You did request a refund of your retainer in late May and I agreed to close out your case and refund your unused retainer, which I did. It takes some time to audit and close out a file and it was done in a timely manner. A refund was issued to you on June 16th. Per your request, I stopped payment of the refund and reissued it, sending it via certified mail on July 2nd.

Regardless of what attorney you decide to file with, you will need all of the same information to proceed with a bankruptcy. I do wish you the best of luck.
Do not use this agency!! Do not use KIM STOUT SHERRER!!!!! This lawyer was not only completely unprofessional speaking to me saying “ calm down “ and being disrespectful to me but she was completely dishonest thought my entire case . My first big court date she did not even show up to she did not call me or text me to let me know she was not going to show up . I have text and phone prof of me calling her and texting her to make sure she would be there a month before the court date and she ignored me . Thought my entire OVI case I asked my lawyer about getting driving privileges and for 5 month she would lie to me and say “ I’m on it “, when I finally asked the court and judge myself after 5 months of her lying to me that I could of had driving privileges the entire time !!! She lied to me over the phone which I have recorded the phone call saying she made a plead deal with no jail time . I got so sick of the lies I fired her and hired a new lawyer come to find out from my new lawyer she made a plead deal behind my back without my permission without even telling me she made a plead deal and she agreed to jail time . When I connect the agency and let them know everything that happened they didn’t care at all and they refused to give me any money back when my lawyer didn’t show up to court and I fired her before my finally trial . When I called the lawyer and let her know she wronged me she acted like a young child and instead of apologizing she kept asking me over and over who my new lawyer is . I have hired a lawyer of my own and I will be suing the agency for not giving me my money back when my lawyer never shows up to court as well as picture and video evidence of my lawyer lying to me and making a plead deal without even telling me .

In my opinion, Lisa Carey Dean is the kind of attorney you call when you don’t want justice — you want to win, no matter the human cost. She spent three years representing a man with a history of domestic violence, substance abuse, and terrifying emotional instability — someone I’ve personally seen act so violently unhinged in public that I feared for the safety of my child. Despite this, Lisa helped him gain full custody of his children — a decision that has devastated their mother and deeply fractured their lives. I have known the mother for years. She is fiercely protective and has been the children's emotional anchor since day one. I’ve witnessed her fight endlessly to shield them from abuse — only to have the court system fail her entirely, thanks in large part to Lisa’s relentless and, in my view, morally indifferent advocacy. Disturbingly, I've been informed that the judge in this case later joined Lisa’s firm — if this is true, then it's a fact that raises serious ethical questions in my mind. The same judge who disregarded what I believe was credible evidence of abuse and trauma is now sitting under the same roof as the attorney who benefitted from her ruling. That doesn’t sit right with me. If you’re a parent looking for fairness, compassion, or someone who values the emotional well-being of children, I urge you to look elsewhere. But if you’re comfortable with scorched-earth tactics and prioritizing strategy over truth, Lisa may be exactly what you’re looking for. This experience has left me questioning not just the outcome of one case — but the integrity of the system itself.

have a friend who used this law firm, and jeez has the lawyer screwed up big time. if any of these lawyers represented me, i think i'd rather represent myself and get max punishment from court. No communication, and you'll be lucky if you can even get your lawyer to SHOW UP TO COURT to y'know, do their whole job. A public defender will do more than this firm has from what i've seen. I actually think I could pass the Bar exam myself with no knowledge after seeing how these lawyers act and practice in court

Christopher Parker promised to help me. Tried calling multiple times only to get a call 3 days before trial. When advised of my alibi and other things relevant to my case, I was told it’s too late. He assumed me guilty and wouldn’t lift a finger to help me. Wasted 6 months of my life. Was forced to drop him, and start over. Do not go here!
