I came to them for help and this was the third firm that denied to help me file a lawsuit on my company because of wage theft/ contract breach and money they owed me for all the time I worked without pay. I thought law firm were suppose to help with people in needs for times like these but these people only care for money. 1 star for the greedy firm!!

Unfortunately my experience with the law firm was not good at all. I think that they were after a quick payout and, when that didn’t happen I was unceremoniously dumped as a client and left me high and dry. We were supposed to have had a trial in June but, they sided with my employer and told me that my rights were limited among other things. I beg to differ but it is what it is. I gave up my right to have my matter adjudicated with the FEHA and EEOC for nothing. I ended up empty handed and looking for another lawyer to really advocate on my behalf if another can be found at this time willing to take where they left off. I think that the strategy that was followed missed critical factors besides not providing accommodations, but the fact that my employer denied me due process when I was placed in an involuntary medical leave. Their actions caused me actual factual and proven damages as a result. I was told that if I quit my job that perhaps I may be able to get a little bit of money which would have been consumed by lawyers fees and taxes not leaving enough to take me over the hump of losing 50% of my income. The latter wasn’t even a sure thing either. I wish they would have told me from the onset that they were in for a quick payout and not wait until the day of mediation to tell me that if it didn't settle I will be dumped. They cannot say it didn't happened because I have it in writing from Romero himself and later by his associate. Update: I guess Mr. Romero wasn’t too happy about the review. As result he started to insult me via email even before the review was posted. He doesn’t get 5 stars for abandoning his client in the middle of litigation he gets only 1 star because there aren’t any zeros. He quit on me after the first rodeo for no reason or fault of my own. Therefore, I filed a complaint against Mr. Romero with the California Bar Association for unethical behavior including but not limited to case abandonment among other things. His response to this review is a clear sign on how he treats his clients. All the emails and other communications with him will be submitted as evidence to the California Bar Association. Lawyers are expected to be ethical and held to a much higher standard since they are officers of the court. Update: I am happy to inform that after being dumped, I ended up having to navigate my case through superior court by myself. The result was a nice settlement without having to quit my job or do anything that may have affected my continued employment. Whereas at times it was challenging to navigate complex legal matters, I was able to make very compelling arguments regarding violations of public policy which invalidates any claims of good faith under the Tameny precedence. I am very happy with the results and confident of my abilities to handle complex legal matters. I should go into law since I am good at it.
