My nephew has been in jail since July of 25 and she still has not seen him. He is in there for something he did not do and they know this. She is very bad at communicating with her clients. Saying she is going to see him to discuss his case and then flat out not go is bad legal representation. I'm praying and trying to keep faith in the legal system but with a public defense as such is a very hard test for all of our faith.

I was so disrespected by the secretary I refuse to have these people on my son’s case. My son has been in jail 6 months and the secretary just said that’s where he needs to be ! I’m contacting the court and demanding this lawfirm be removed from his case. I’ve heard horrible stories about this firm and as of today I no longer want them around or involved in my son’s case. I will be at Lake County first thing in the morning to make sure to let them know he does not have proper legal representation and I will bring in the recorded conversation I had with the secretary. She literally put the phone down as I was speaking about my son’s case. Then she had the audacity to say my son needs to be to be in jail because he has six charges. How dare her, are you working for him or against him! 6 months on a $9000 bond and we have repeatedly asked this law firm to request for him a bond reduction and they refuse to do so and now I know why. They Want him there. The judge even told them last court date to head in a different direction & they have not done anything at all to help him. Nothing! Still same story at every hearing after they were told to change direction! The judge even said why is he still here on a $9000 bond on a level 6 felony after 6 months. They are actually now delaying his process. She does not care about the client or their wishes, and the secretary is horrible and needs to be fired immediately! She was talking over me, disrespectful, cutting me off as I’m speaking, and then hung up on me! Ok That Did It! The Judge and Court system will be notified! Do Not Have Roseanne Represent You. You will be very frustrated and your loved one’s freedom will be at Risk! My son has never had not one bond reduction hearing and they refuse to ask for one! They keep saying he had one may 9th bt he went to jail May 1st. He had a no bond! The 9th was the day they gave him a bond! He’s never had a bond reduction court date ever!! I am appalled by the lack of support and professionalism. We are tired of asking you to ask the judge.

I hired her to help with enforcing two court ordered judgements and the past due arrearage of child support from the non custodial parent. Well she cancelled a court hearing I scheduled before I hired her without notifying me. I showed up to court only to find out that she decided to cancel the hearing that I had waited months to get two weeks prior to the the hearing. When I called to find out what happened she told me it was a scheduling conflict. In essence she prioritized something else at the last minute and failed to notify or discuss the cancellation with me. I paid a $2500 retainer in advance, she charges $250 an hour. She was non responsive for the first 2 1/2 months. Not returning calls rarely returning emails. Things began to escalate with my ex spouse and she actually started to communicate via text and email and a call here and there. What I didn’t realize is she used this opportunity to excessively charge my retainer. We had not made it to court and she sent me a bill that had exceeded my retainer by $679.00 due upon receipt. She then sent me a notice of intent to terminate my agreement if she did not receive payment in 10 days. I reviewed the invoice and found errors in large amounts where she over charged me by $500.00. She had several line items where she charged me different amounts for the same item. Ex. $50 to make a call to OC and leave a message. She charged me this at least 10 times. She also demanded payment of the $179 to continue. At the supp hearing she was ill prepared and non effective in getting me anything for my judgement even though she charged me to subpoena my ex’s employer for an interrogatory, bank statements, and financials. In court she only presented the hand written interrogatory. She never requested the bank statements or payment history so I got nothing. I then verbally terminated my agreement. When she refused to respond I again terminated the agreement via email. She finally replied telling me she needed permission from the court to be removed from my case. I told her again I no longer wanted her representation and she showed up at my child support hearing anyway and attempted to force herself into the court room. I had to advocate to the magistrate that she did not represent me and that I had let her go the week before. Roseann tried to hush me and even went so far as to tell this judge that only the other judge in the support case could release her. Well that was not true. I was able to get her removed but not before finding out that the contempt filing was never actually filed with the clerk. When I insisted there was a rule to show cause as to why he was not in contempt be considered because I had this document in my hand… that Roseann and I had signed … Roseann finally asked the judge if she could be excused to leave. This is because the motions she charged me for filing were never filed and she didn’t want the embarrassment of me knowing she had scammed me by excessively charging me for work she did not follow through on.

I got exactly what I wanted the first case, and am hopefully going to be using her in another case. I, in fact, did use her in another case, and will continue to use her if I need to.

Roseann has been helping with my family stuff for abou lt two years. She has been great with communication and understanding of my situation. She does what she needs to get things done!
