I had just found out on Feb.14, 2022 that a warrant was out for my arrest for failure to report for my probation. I hadn’t reported for over 2 years. It was a foolish mistake on my part. Things were really stacking up against me for a crime I committed in 2015 a felony possession of under 1 gram. Mr. Gransee explained the situation to me when I met with him and I realized I might be very close to looking at some serious jail time. He told me he couldn’t promise anything, but that there was a chance we could get the judge to terminate my probation, resulting in a dismissal of the original charges. I had just gotten my life back together, and was able to provide a clean hair follicle as part of my defense, in addition to the possibility that the probation had failed to do their due diligence before revoking my probation. Well I was very scared going in to court, which ended up being on Zoom. I was ready for the worst, however a miracle happened and we got the best possible outcome, my case was dismissed. We hired Kurt Gransee to defend my daughter who was charged with DUI despite several serious flaws with the charge. First and foremost, she was not driving her vehicle as noted to authorities by the store clerk who stated she had been sitting in the parking lot for over 8 hours. Hayes county also waited 22 months (pre covid) to actually charge her with this offense which greatly hampered her ability to locate witnesses that could corroborate the store clerks’ statements. Mr Gransee vigorously defended my daughter’s legal rights including the right to a speedy trial. After several hearings and the DA’s refusal to drop the charges, the judge ruled in favor of Mr. Gransee’s speedy trial motion and the charge was dropped. I have no doubt that without Mr. Gransee’s knowledge of the law, persistence, and willingness to fight the charge, my daughter would have been wrongly convicted of DUI. Grantee was Atorney and he did everything possible to help my DWI case.

Phone consultation was weak and it felt like he did not listen to my pending criminal cases that I have. He kept interrupting and saying he wasn’t following along and I heard scribbling over the phone and he seemed frustrated. He right off the bat gave me his retainer and said he doesn’t work with family law. Didn’t work with my case since it all tied together.

I was on deferred for a 2nd degree felony drug charge and I picked up a new felony drug charge.  I was facing a motion to revoke probation “mtr” for the deferred and either time or another probation for the new case. Mr. Gransee filed various motions and was able to get the new charge dismissed and I was continued on Deferred Adjudication with out-patient treatment.  I was very pleased with the outcome and I definitely recommend Mr. Gransee to anyone else with serious felony drug charges.
