Bad experience from beginning to end and charges 30% more than other lawyers. Told monthly cost would be a certain amount give or take a few bucks and the cost nearly doubled when all was said and done. Her made sure he was paid in full first before other important creditors were paid. Messed up all of my paperwork and then asked for more money when I asked him to fix the errors, (he had the wrong property on the paperwork and yes I said that correctly, he asked for more money to fix terrible mistake made by him). He sent some other person to represent him in court that knew nothing about the case. And then after all his mistakes I left this review so he threatened to drop my case if I didn't remove it, (I'm not), and now has asked the courts to be dismissed from the case. He had already charged me (robbed me) a total of over $8000 when he bailed on me.

I have known Ed for many years and have consulted with him on numerous issues/topics over the last couple of years. He has always responded in a timely fashion, and his approach is very thorough. Ed is extremely knowledgeable, and I trust his counsel.

My personal experience with Ed took place in the summer of 2015. Thankfully my case was relatively simply and it was completed quickly with no issue. My positive experience led me to consider Ed again after an unfortunate set of medical circumstances led my wife to file over the summer. With her case being more complex, Ed’s experience was brought to the forefront in ensuring the case remained in CH7 and protected our assets along with the way. I am sorry to say it but this is a pretty bad lawyer. I think it would be hard to be a lawyer, especially one dealing with bankruptcy where they do the same thing over and over again, but Mr. Santillan is a bad lawyer. How do you ask? - Does not return phone calls. - Does not show up for hearings. - Does not set up a reliable trustee. - Insults his clients. The one review on here is a lawyer saying how good he is. That's because he sends him in his place. The guy doesn't even work there, he works in Pittsburgh. So, you have your appointment and you walk in to your hearing, and bam, some lawyer you never dealt with is there asking you all the questions you already told the answers Mr. Santillan because HE DOES NOT SHOW UP! This is a typical bankruptcy mill. I consulted with a different lawyer after this guy messed it up and he even said he heard bad things about him. Please look elsewhere, anywhere else could be better.

Never returns any phone calls. Even if you are paying him. Always in vacation or traveling. There are tons of lawyers who deal with the same things he does. Find a better option and steer clear of this horrible lawyer.
