I recently engaged Kiley Clevenger at Sawl Law Group for a speeding ticket I received. My case was simpler and usually not what they take on, but there were some nuances because of which I was concerned. They took the time to understand my perspective and took on my case. I cannot thank Martin and Kiley enough for everything they did for my son. They not only saved him from prison and a strike on his record. They always answered his calls from jail, went to visit him when needed, and took the time to explain everything to me after each court date so I never felt left in the dark. They even connected us with a psychologist for a small fee, who went to the jail several times to speak with my son and would also call me afterwards to let me know how things went. On top of that, they also brought in a private investigator for an additional small fee. He not only did his work thoroughly but also took the time to call me directly, which showed how much effort the entire team put into helping my son. The entire office staff was always kind and patient, even when I had what probably felt like tedious questions. Helen was especially helpful with the financial side, allowing me to put a portion down and then make payments, which no other lawyer’s office was willing to do. It’s sad to see when people leave bad reviews, because sometimes it’s not that the lawyer didn’t do their job it’s that the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for. Hiring an attorney doesn’t guarantee that there will be no sentence. My son still did time, but it was nothing close to what the DA was pushing for. Without Martin and Kiley who knows what would have happened. What really showed me their character was the fact that Martin reached out to me a couple of months after my son’s sentencing just to check in and see how he was doing. Then, about six months later, when my son faced another legal issue, Kiley immediately stepped in again to help us through it. Martin and Kiley are not just incredible lawyers, they are compassionate people who went above and beyond to support both my son and me. Case DISMISSED! 3 long years I was waiting for those words, and when Kiley Clevenger got my case, we talked for maybe 15 minutes and all my fears went away, and the next time we spoke, my case was dismissed. I saw that other law groups were cheaper, but I knew my case needed the extra money to fight, so I spent it. I was still pretty nervous with first lawyer SAWL saddled me with, and was told it was going to need to go to trial, and I was petrified. Fortunately, for me that lawyer ended up going on vacation and my case was put in the hands of the type of lawyer you hope you get when you spend this kind of money, Mrs. Kiley Clevenger. I hate to put more work on the already extremely busy Mrs. Clevenger, but if you're in need, and there is even a chance that the case can be won, ask for her. I literally cannot describe the stress, worry, and anxiety washed away after I spoke with her, we then went to court and she FOUGHT for me the way you want a lawyer to fight, and she won without it ever having to go to trial. In my experience with this law firm it was not great. They were awesome at the beginning which I thought was great they took the retainer money to get the initial arraignment and prelims they asked for more money when it was time to go to trial. They basically told me a wet and reckless was not a DUI which is false I ended up getting a DUI/wet and reckless with a .07 which is under legal limit. I really felt like they gave up. I'm not a professional. I am a lot more educated about DUIs now.
