Our family retained the services of Michael Bartish at SBBL Law firm in the fall of 2025. A family member was falsely accused of rape by a bitter ex wife. Michael and his legal assistant Allyson were extremely professional and yet personal. From the very first meeting they treated us with care and respect in a difficult and stressful situation. The criminal case was dismissed during the preliminary hearing because Michael proved to the judge that the ex wife was lying while she was on the stand. Heath took my case to trial for a hefty sum of money and was unsuccessful. That's just how it goes. However, a moderately valuable amount of possessions were unlawfully seized. Heath supposedly worked with the prosecutor a transfer of the items to a third party to consign so that I may receive the funds for their liquidation. Now that I have served my time I followed up with SBBL to enquire on the matter, but I have been ignored and spun for months with lackluster excuses. I've patiently waited half a year with regular follow-ups, but they just ignore. The firm is more than willing to accept your money, but will not help you one bit when it comes to money that is supposed to be headed your way. Very disappointed at the lack of communication.

A family member was facing serious CSC charges that came with a penalty of up to 45 years in prison after some false accusations were made. The case lasted a little over three years, went to the Court of Appeals twice, and through 7 different attorneys before hiring Heath Lynch and his paralegal, Sarah Lynch. The SOS was giving me trouble renewing my license due to a past DUI. Mike Bartish and Chastity Green made just a couple calls and my issues were completely cleared up. I would not have a drivers license with out SBBL's help. Highly recommend for DUI OWI type offenses. I would refer them to all and would use them in the future, but hopefully will not need it!

If you find yourself in the life changing situation of being accused of a Title IX violation, and are not sure who to call, where to to turn or most importantly HOW to defend against the allegations, I'd recommend Tessa Muir! Ms. Muir fights for justice. I was accused by a group of students of saying sexually in appropriate things to them. (All because I held them accountable for misbehaving, and because one didnt like how I physically looked, yep thats the reality we live in!) Ms. Muir seen through the dishonesty as soon as the Title IX investigation was completed. Ms. Muir and her team were nothing but professional and punctual, including responding to emails at 3 am! Yeah what attorney works at 3 am? Well Ms. Muir does! Ms. Muir isnt a 9 to 5 attorney, I got the sense that she was on the case 24/7. I felt she cared and was an advocate, that one would want in there corner. Ms. Muir presented the facts of the case ans highlighted the inconsistencies in the students stories quite well. Never once did she use legal mumbo jumbo that made me feel stupid or uneducated. When reading her replies often, I was reminded of the late Billy Mays (weird I know but read on!). I'd be reading her reply to the decision maker going wow, she summed it all quite well, what else is there to say? Then like the Late Billy Mays himself, Ms. Muir continued as if to say "wait there's more"! While a Title IX investigation due to its nature does ruin relationships, and reputations, Ms. Muir works to make sure at the end of the day justice is served. I hope I never find myself in this situation again (as anyone can hurl allegations under Title IX), but if I did, Ms. Muir and her team would be my first call all over again! We had a legal matter in Grand Rapids and not being from that area were unfamiliar with any attorneys. Heath was recommended from someone we knew in Kalamazoo.
