We had a deeply disappointing experience during a mediation at this firm. The mediator—an older, seasoned attorney—became visibly angry and began cursing at my wife during the session, until I asked him to stop. It was unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I cannot recommend this firm based on our experience.

When a judge grants an UNCONSTITUTIONAL speech-based prior restraint requested by the firm the very judge founded (hint: this one), you just know something stinks.

Be careful what you say here, folks. This firm has a track record of unconstitutionally retaliating against people who post bad reviews. Judge Michael Binkley (a former lawyer at Schell & Oglesby) issued a ludicrously unconstitutional prior restraint order protecting his former law firm from a bad review, and was summarily (and embarrassingly) reversed by the court of appeals. This firm is not trustworthy, and Judge Binkley's actions are worthy of a judicial conduct inquiry.

They seem to do a bang-up job of filing unconstitutional prior restraint cases against people who post bad reviews. Being able to use the legal system to cover their behinds is an admirable trait.

I have had such a positive experience with David Veile of Schell & Oglesby law firm I wanted to leave a review. I had a uniquely strange situation and reached out to my business attorney for direction on how to handle it. My attorney recommended David Veile in Franklin, Tn., because he has an outstanding reputation as a defense attorney. Bradley Carter is extremely loyal to his clients, is hard working, and is an extremely dedicated lawyer who will do everything he can to win your case! We hired Bradley to work for us on behalf of our minor son who was bit by a neighborhood dog. Although our case lasted more than four years, Bradley never backed down against a tough defense lawyer and worked diligently to bring our case to settlement. I have had a very complex case, which took over a year to finally have heard, and ruled on by a judge. In that time I have come to know not only the office staff, but several of the lawyers from this firm as well. The staff is always very friendly, and helpful. I've even trained some of them to call me Dan instead of Sir! I've worked directly with two attorneys from this firm. Josh Rogers and Brad Carter. Both are top notch. Without getting into too many details, Josh had to recuse himself from the case due to a conflict, and recommended that Brad take over in his place. For a year and a half, Brad worked hard on my case. This included mediation, depositions, several motions, and agreed orders. Some days were long, and he was visibly worn out by the time they were over.. Through the course of my case, Brad listened to my input, and provided advice when I needed it. Sometimes his advice was not what I wanted to hear at the time, but he was firm in his beliefs when he needed to be. In the end, I listened to Brad's advice, as he is more knowledgeable about the Law, and the courts, than I am. In the long run, he was right every time. At this point, I trust him implicitly. After two very full days of testimony last year, the judge ruled in my favor. I cannot say thank you enough! Brad is worth every penny!

Brad Carter was very unprofessional and made inappropriate and forward comments during private one on one meetings with me. These included asking for nude pictures to be sent to his personal phone, trying to kiss me during a meeting in the private conference room. I did not speak up in fear of him intentionally throwing my divorce case and when I did say something months later to other lawyers at the firm, I was not taken very seriously. A second lawyer was added to my case halfway through by Mr Carter, as he was doing a terrible job Representing me. This lawyer was not by my request and was “pro-bono” per Mr Carter. I never signed anything agreeing to pay this additional lawyers fees, which were even higher than the contracted rate I agreed to for Mr Carter and in addition to the fees of Mr Carter. Coincidentally, the invoices of these two attorneys took all of my case winnings! I was blown off and ignored once they were paid by the courts and left with nothing except a Comtempt case to hire another lawyer for and file against the small amount of property my ex is still withholding. Run to any other law firm as fast as you can.. I heard they were the best but since have learned that was years before when other lawyers were practicing here.

Would not use any other law firm.
