I worked with Karen Moore as my attorney for a wage claim case. After being laid off in early 2025, in the middle of economic and political chaos, I was overwhelmed with scrambling to figure out how I was going to live--pay rent, buy groceries, file unemployment, find a new job--it was an indescribably stressful time for me. My employer withheld my final wages for almost three weeks, and when I tried to file a claim with BOLI (Bureau of Labor & Industry, the government entity that is supposed to hold employers accountable for illegal actions like this) I found out that they're not taking wage claims over a certain threshold, and even if they do, it's at least six months until they'll look at your case. I was over that threshold, but I'm so grateful I was referred to Schuck Law & Karen. I had never dealt with the legal system before, and she was my advocate throughout the whole process--supportive, determined, professional, patiently answering all my questions and explaining her approach. Absolutely do not call these people! The front desk lady absolutely refused to help or even allow me to contact an attorney without even knowing my case, something very off about this office.

There is nice or pleasant, and then there is kind. Elizabeth (intake personnel) and Leslie Baze (partner / attorney) were both. In scheduling for a consult, Elizabeth worked with Leslie, who accommodated me into her schedule sooner rather than later when it seemed like first available would’ve been the following week. The intake was painless but thorough, and Leslie didn’t make me repeat myself twice or retell the story to her; which I seriously appreciated and is something I haven’t experienced at with other firms. Leslie efficiently and thoroughly reviewed the details of my case, asked great clarifying questions, and took the time to explore all avenues of solution. She’s clearly incredibly intelligent, remembering and doing quick math based on numbers mentioned once, and informing me how to proceed forward with or without her involvement. There’s a “bedside manner” for attorneys that lends someone dignity when they are feeling vulnerable without coddling or making false promises, and this firm has it in spades. 10/10 would work with them again.

Karen did amazing work with what she was setup with. She explained every process to me so clearly it's almost like i was a lawyer myself.
