Do not put your future in the hands of this man. Mr. Lewis took my partner's case "as a favor" for a "special price." From the first day dealing with him to the very last, not once did he address her with her correct first name, and it's a simple one. This lack of care, attention, and effort is entirely indicative of what he put forth in our case. Across several occurrences, not once did he show up to court before or on time. Nor did he come prepared - he would frequently say he'd have necessary conversations with the prosecution and other involved entities, but would show up late, day-of, and amid intermittent availability to counsel his actual client, he'd be scrambling around trying to find, email, or otherwise contact those individuals completely last-minute to have those conversations... leaving little chance to understand what could be expected or what decisions would need to be made - and with too little information and time to properly make them. Frequently we'd contact him with questions or seeking additional information from him by phone or text, which were routinely unresponded to. He'd say he'd get back with info, and would not - again, usually until in-person immediately before a hearing. When it was gently suggested to him that we were struggling with his lack of responsiveness and clear communication, he'd give defensive, snide responses about how he's got stuff to do and how lucky we are to even have his help for "such a good price." Communication, in person, was always too fast, garbled, unclear, and too often his suggestions of what we should expect from the oncoming hearing & after were different from the results. A significant piece of property was involved & in question, and going into the last hearing, we still had questions as to what the status & options were for it - questions that had been asked of him, that he did not address with us. In that hearing, we were informed that the property was now lost and unrecoverable to us, because certain filings/actions had not been taken up to that point - ones he never informed or advised us of, despite the questions exactly to that end. He lied to the court, saying that immediately before the trial, he had discussed with his client and the affirmative decision had been made for that result. In no way had that discussion or decision happened. Also, technically wearing a suit for court appearances, the degree of unkempt and... schlubby... was a bit embarrassing to be represented by. It may have been, hypothetically, a "great price," but when next to no work goes into the case, such incredibly low care or effort is given - again, let something as basic as the client's own common and simple name be an example - and what little effort is done badly, unprofessionally, procrastinated fully, with terrible communication in a number of ways, with attitude when feedback was given, and with dismissive deception toward one key result of the case after failing to address it at all with us, no, it's not a great price, it is theft. We would have found someone who would actually fulfill their end of the agreement, even if it had cost more. Do not put your future in the hands of this man.
Thank you for taking the time for your comments. I'm not quite sure who your partner is.,So it's very difficult to respond when the actual client is not commenting. The above facts you've alluded to does that give me information to ascertain what case you're talking about..If you'd like to contact me or have your partner contact me ,I'd be glad to discuss this in further detail Thank you.
Scott had a amazing price. He also got me off a dui and a test refusal. He did everything he could to manage my situation. I couldnt have asked for a better lawyer. He went above and beyond in all aspects.
Basically told judge to lock my friend up. Terrible attorney didn't even defend her at all. Got 4 yrs in prison for dwi. I know someone gave fentanyl to another friend and killed them. She only got few months.
I appreciate the opportunity to respond to this review. If I recall, I represented an individual that you may be referring to approximately six months ago in Rice County. That particular Client was out on a dispositional departure for felony DWI. That means probation versus prison. Unfortunately, she picked up another felony DWI with a high reading. This occurred while she was still on probation. For the same offense, felony DWI. I was able to negotiate DWI/drug court. Upon that understanding, she entered a guilty plea. The agreement was that she would not have to do any additional jail time, or prison time on both the probation violation, and the new offense as long as she continued to participate in DWI court, . Unfortunately, she had numerous violations before sentencing . The violations consisted of continued used, while in treatment verified by testing, as well as not participating in treatment. ,she basically opted to stay at home instead of the treatment center. This went on for several months,. When an offender violates conditions of release after sentencing, the agreement can be set aside in the court could do whatever they want. Therefore, it was her decision to get the minimal sentence possible. I believe she needed a break is what she said. I negotiated a minimal sentence per her request which equates a little bit over a year with good time and Boot Camp.. If I recall, she was very happy with this result and welcome the opportunity to change her lifestyle . Thank you, Scott lewis.

He was also very helpful answering non related legal questions for other people and helping me get my property back . Thanks again Scott
