I was referred here by my roofing company (Elo Roofing) when my insurance company denied my claim. It took some time but Samantha Huffman and her team were with me every step of the way. What do you have to loose? SC&C negotiated for us x5 what the insurance company initially gave us. They don’t collect anything unless we win. If nothing happened, then we were out nothing. Took about 4 months to negotiate an agreement. Even after SC&C took their cut from the settlement, we were left with tens of thousands of dollars that we would not have had before.

Last year, during a thunderstorm, a branch went through the roof of my mother's house. State Farm denied the claim. I then hired a public adjuster, but they also denied the claim. Finally, I turned to an attorney—Serrano Cagan & Cagan in Orlando. After they sent a letter threatening to sue, the insurance company suddenly wanted to settle! I learned that this is a common tactic used by insurance carriers—they deny claims until you involve a lawyer. A recent report on 60 Minutes confirms this practice. Here’s the link to the segment, which covers these kinds of tactics and what happened to my mother. My uncle went through the same ordeal. After months of fighting with his insurance company, he reached out to me. I referred him to the same law firm, and he got his money without further issues. When choosing a law firm, I reached out to four different firms for quotes and retainer contracts. Some were local. I ultimately chose Serrano Cagan & Cagan because of a unique clause in their contract: if they secure a settlement before going to court, their contingency fee is reduced. Additionally, they provided their own engineer and adjuster, which helped secure a larger settlement. I was able to cover their fees and still had enough left to repair the roof.
