Dennis is the worst lawyer ever! He does not return phone calls and likes to drag cases out to get more money. All he cares about is money, that is his motivation. He uses stall tactics and will lie & cheat to obtain his desired result for more money. He's an untrustworthy snake who's going to burn in HELL!!!

I hired Dennis to be my divorce attorney. He could not answer simple questions that I asked about my case. He frequently entered incorrect information on my paperwork and got me confused with other clients a lot. He turned paperwork in late to the court when we had a deadline and not did notify me that we had not gotten the paperwork into the court. I had to find out from the court myself. His lack of accountability is very concerning and I would not recommend his services to anyone.

I will say that oftentimes judge’s dockets are busy and because of mandatory legal wait times, your case may not be resolved right away. (I had to wait for the legal waiting period for my divorce to be finalized.) However, Attorney Shimmell will continue to work on your case and push to get it resolved in a timely manner. He is professional and abides by the legal ethical codes and therefore will not advise the opposing party. In my experience he does work well with the opposing counsel to help reach a fair resolution, if possible. I will continue to use Shimmell Law Offices for any future legal needs.

Went through a divorce. Parted ways on excellent terms with the ex husband. He was the one who hired this lawyer. I was treated absolutely horrendous because I was the “defendant”. It was an easy uncontested divorce. The man has absolutely no manners and is horribly rude. No way to treat people even if it is the opposing party. My ex was even surprised on how I was treated. Lawyer or not still need to treat people with respect. Not to mention the lack of motivation of getting the divorce done. The divorce was not filed in a timely manner and was drug out longer than a very easy divorce should be from neither parties doing. My ex husband “plaintiff” filed and it was completely uncontested by me. My ex thought it was absolutely ridiculous on how long it took for me and him both being completely cooperative. Totally unprofessional lawyer. Do not recommend
