I strongly advise staying far away from this law firm. J. Andrew Wannemacher is by far the worst attorney I have ever dealt with. He took my case involving $5,000 my landlord wrongfully kept after a house fire where my family and I lost everything. That money was critical for us to rebuild. Mr. Wannemacher met with me and my girlfriend, assured us he would at least help recover the money, and requested documentation and receipts, which I promptly provided. During a phone call, he told me he would send a demand letter to my landlord stating that legal action would be taken if the money was not returned. Weeks passed with no communication. I emailed multiple times requesting a copy of the letter and confirmation it was sent—no response. Concerned something may have happened, I called the office and spoke with his assistant. She told me she would look into it and call me back. She never did. After calling again weeks later, she informed me there was no record of any letter ever being sent. At that point, we had been “working” on this case for nearly six months with absolutely no progress, no communication, and no follow-through. When I expressed my frustration and mentioned leaving a review if I didn’t hear back, the assistant said she didn’t blame me. I still never received a call or email. This experience shows a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. I will be filing a complaint with the bar association. Do not trust this firm with your case.

We used this firm for a custody case paid 2000$ up front the attorney did not do his job i lost custody of my grandchild the attorney got a court date for my custody he cancelled the court date never got another one i would not use this law firm. I will be filing a complaint with the bar they need to refund my money so i can get another attorney and give back my files i provided them with.

Honest and trustworthy

The receptionist at the Troy location was extremely rude and condescending! She over-talked me, didn't listen to my questions/concerns, and has a terrible attitude. She stated, "I'm just a receptionist." That doesn't suffice for your bad attitude! This experience is not what's needed after losing a parent and trying to ask for assistance. I have yet to hear back from anyone in the office and hope this isn't a representation of what to expect from this business.
