I was unfortunately a victim to medical malpractice just over two years ago. This tragedy took a heavy toll on my life, but after hiring SGP, Ted Goodman was able to fight hard to win me a high value compensation. He is very knowledgeable in medical law and does an excellent job at coming after those responsible for various faults that are open to litigation. This firm was very effective, professional, well-mannered, and hardworking. All I had to do was give my deposition and they basically did the rest of the work. Mr. Goodman was able avoid trial by getting the defense to agree to a settlement that was in the same ball park amount that I was hoping for. Some guy named Ted returned my message say they can’t help me after I sent them a message asking for help. Not even a referral to another firm I just don’t feel they treat you with respect unless the see big bucks although medical malpractice or negligence seems wrong to me. Just found this firm to be as cold as the hospital I’m sitting in. Don’t expect to much unless your case is worth big bucks. I’d like to sue this firm for not showing compassion no matter how much your case is worth. All well. Don’t Waste your time here.

In late 2017 I had a botched appendectomy that led to a follow-up surgery due to infection. I was connected to Simonson, Goodman and Platzer through a friend and from our first phone call I felt comfortable and supported. They were honest and clear about the process of bringing a lawsuit forward, and managed my expectations of how long it might take if a settlement was awarded. I was pleased to hear from them in April of 2019 that they had reached a settlement agreement, but that they felt it was too low. After working with them, the settlement was raised by $100K, which they advised me to accept, and I did. By August of 2019, I received my settlement amount, minus the fees for their service. This experience has taken something deeply traumatic, and which left a very nasty, lifelong scar, and turned it into an opportunity to heal both physically and emotionally. I highly recommend their services.
