Mr. Simopoulos is an effective lawyer who knows his area of law. The reason I give him one star is his billing practices. I feel Mr. Simopoulos overbilled me and billed for administrative tasks that he should not have billed for such as opening and closing my file. The Virginia Bar has a free mediation program for bill disputes and they strongly encourage all attorneys to participate in the program. Mr. Simopoulos refused to participate in the program to resolve the dispute and instead has another attorney send me an email that I feel was meant to intimidate me. It is disappointing that Mr. Simopoulos was unwilling to amicably work toward a resolution.
