We had an issue related to a financial misunderstanding with our HOA. We really didn't know what to do so that the situation could be remedied quickly. My wife called Skipper Law just to get some advice. Jennifer was kind enough to point us in the right direction and even allowed us to CC email correspondence to Skipper Law between us and our HOA. The issue was resolved rather expediently as soon as they were involved. 5 stars for customer service and a willingness to offer a helping hand when it was needed. They were also upfront with the pricing structure, so we weren't left wondering how much something might cost to get started. I would absolutely recommend Skipper Law and would go to them in a heartbeat in the future, although I hope nothing ever comes to that. If you end up needing someone, I would go to them first.

Our HOA community was referred to Matt at Skipper Law, LLC after all of our community members received certified letters threatening liens against our properties. Our previous HOA management company had gone out of business and the threats were time-sensitive, requiring a legal response. With minimal notice Matt Skipper and the Skipper Law team agreed to attend a virtual meeting with the individuals in our community to provide legal context for several families regarding our lien issues and options for moving forward. Matt quickly followed up the meeting with an e-mail documenting the facts he stated during our virtual meeting, and many of us individually agreed to retain him as our counsel. As residents we were not familiar with the nuances of HOA law, nor did we have the relationships we would need to successfully navigate the legal process effectively. As a client and homeowner, I personally found Skipper Law to be very knowledgeable, experienced, direct and confident regarding the best legal options for my family. I found Skipper Law through a random google search of PI attorneys near my job. I chose them because I didn't want a large firm where I would just be another number and they provided exactly what I was looking for. Mathew was hired as an HOA specialist. He filed a suit against only board members of my condominium. 100% wrong. He charged me tens of thousands before dropping when I realized the mistake. I had to hire a real lawyer to file my suit correctly and I prevailed. Mathew then offered to settle with me and reneged. Skippy Law is no Super Lawyer.

I reached out to Skipper after I and some other owners at my condominium got into a dispute with our HOA over fire damage. I was put in touch Jeff, who was great! Jeff really gave me the sense that his interest was to figure out how to make the financially damaged parties in my case whole. Some other lawyers I'd talked to seemed more eager to sell me services then to figure out how to recover damages. Not Jeff. At several points, I asked about different legal options and his response was that could do them for me and charge me, but that ultimately they would do little to help my case. Thankfully, Jeff steered us away from suing, and helped us find other ways to get compensation. I would trust Jeff implicity to look after legal affairs and to provide sound legal advice.
