Very grateful for the opportunity to work with you. You took the time to answer all our questions and assist us with estate planning. We feel ready now for the future. Thank you so much!!!!!!!
⚠️ DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM ⚠️ I hired this firm to represent me in a small claims case and paid the full amount they requested upfront. After weeks of no updates, no progress, and no communication, I received another invoice for over $2,000—the same amount I had already paid. My case was worth $1,900, yet they expected me to continue paying invoices equal to or higher than the value of the case itself. When I questioned this, Nathan Anderson told me—clearly and directly—that if every bill was going to be the same problem , he would no longer represent me. He showed zero concern, made no effort to explain or resolve the billing issue, and dropped my case without hesitation. This behavior is unprofessional, unethical, and shows complete disregard for a paying client. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and taken advantage of. 🚫 Do not waste your money, time, energy, or trust on low-class attorneys like this. If you value transparency and basic professionalism, look elsewhere.
Professional, clean and pleasant atmosphere. Mr. Skoubye was very thorough, and walked us through every step of our estate planning, making it so easy on our part. He did all of the foot work he could do, and explained carefully the things that we needed to do. Overall a great experience.
Jeff came recommended from both family and our financial planner. He set up our trust, and I understand why he was recommended so highly and I will do the same. The process was smooth, with the right amount of flexibility for things that mattered. The process was also quick, with our trust created and funded in just a few weeks. If this was a restaurant I would return often, unfortunately this is a one-and-done thing (even though we have yearly check-ins). Highly recommend!
SKOUBYE NIELSON & JOHANSEN, LLC I had a very disappointing experience with this firm, specifically working with Taylor. I reached out for help collecting on a bad debt where I already had a lien in place. He was upfront about the hourly rate, which I appreciated. After providing all the information he needed, his recommendation was simply to send a letter. I approved it, the letter was written, and nothing came from it. What frustrated me most was receiving a bill for 8 hours of time, totaling more than the actual amount I was trying to collect. When I emailed him expressing my concerns, I got no response at all. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm to anyone. I’ll definitely be looking for a more reliable and communicative law firm for any future legal needs.
We worked with Jeff & found him to be efficient and precise. He created our Estate Planning Documents and he competed everything on time & left us feeling like we could ask questions & call on him again. Thank You!
We have used this office for business and decided to keep using them for personal needs. Daniela was very helpful and understanding with our latest trust questions. I would highly recommend them.
I did estate planning with Jeff Skoubye. He was clear, concise, well prepared, and efficient. He is very helpful in answering questions.
I could not recommend Skoubye Nielson & Johansen more! Jeff handled my estate planning and was incredibly pleasant to work with as he guided us through the entire process.
This law firm was phenomenal to work with! They handled my divorce and estate planning and I was extremely pleased with how both turned out.
This law firm is very professional and knowledgeable concerning Utah law and its implications. Jeff Skoubye did an outstanding job for us in our estate planning. We highly recommend this law firm.
Jeff helped us with my dad's estate and even sped up the process cause of his condition. Also walked us out to the parking lot, helping him get into the truck while I put the wheelchair away. 👍
Thank you.
This office is very overpriced for the mediocre work they do. They charge you a large 3k retainer fee, and you have to replenish the retainer monthly. Their fresh, just graduated attorneys charge double the retainer and as much as my last attorney with 20+ years experience. They are obviously money hungry, and after not working with them for a year and a half, I get a random email from my attorney asking if I want to continue using her for a small monthly fee, or withdraw as counsel and close out my file. I was not told their would be a charge for closing my file and withdrawing as counsel, but I got a bill for $159 this month. They're not working for you, they're working to find ways to charge you a fee for every little thing they do and don't do, even a year and a half later. My ex's attorney stopped working for him a year ago, so I don't even know who they're going to send a notice of withdrawal to, yet I'm getting charged for that too. I don't recommend this office and will never use their services again. I hope it was worth the $159 to lose a client, because I know I'll be needing an attorney again in the near future. Another sad review for a sad office!

Very thorough, effective, and honest in providing legal representation with a positive outcome
Thank you for the feedback, we're glad we could be of service!
I was referred to Benton at this office by another lawyers office. After a consultation ($150) he implicated he was sure we’d be fine to move forward as this was the second time we had spoken with him our case. I paid the retainer and processing fee (additional $60 fee for using a card) the next day. A few days later I received an email that after him doing research we could contact another law office but he was unable to find much that supported our claim and he’d refund our retainer minus the processing fee. As this was now the third time we spoke I felt he could have been more forthcoming with information and done his research prior to claiming we would be good to proceed “we have a case”, putting people out more money when they are already out of a job is shady business!! Do your research before using this guy!

Thank you, we're glad you were satisfied with the service and results!
Do not under any circumstances work with David Nielson. He is the most unethical lawyer I have ever come across. He intentionally avoids returning phone calls to settle your case so that he can keep charging the client. I personally left messages and emailed him to attempt to resolve an issue and he refused to reach out so that he could continue charging. Do not trust him under any circumstances.
This person is not our client. She owed money to our client. We forced her to pay and she is apparently trying to exact revenge. She was always treated professionally and all her communications were timely answered.
An attorney took my call and answered some legal questions prior to having me come in for a consultation and that seemed very cool in this day an age to get a live attorney before moving forward in a decision.
