Put simply, there is one more child safe than there would have been because of Kelsey Moffitt at Snoco Legal. Hard to put a price on that. Kelsey Moffitt was tremendous and continues to be. She and Snoco Legal inherited an immensely overblown and blustery case that was part of a triad of family law cases, with at least three more related family law cases on top of the main triad. Here are a few things that Kelsey has done tremendously and without which, the outcome would be worse. Listens. Empathizes. Reassures. Prepares for the worst. Plans and strategizes for the win. Sets expectations. Communicates. Cares. No. Really cares. Executes under pressure. Wins. I don't think I'm representative of the main clientele of Snoco Legal. Nor have I been a voice in favor of funding community attorneys. I'm a business owner, conservative, PhD, former pro athlete. I've owned more rental units than I've rented and I'm married to a wife who has three degrees, never divorced and none of our 'own' kids. Just the one we're guardians of. I am not who pro-bono attorneys nor their financiers envision helping. The child who my wife and I are guardians of, is absolutely, unquestionably, why Snoco Legal needs to exist, and why it should seek to retain attorneys like Kelsey Moffitt with raw dollars and cents. When our funds ran dry, Kelsey Moffitt and Snoco Legal became our front line against worst of the worst. This review is for the grantors, the board, and the investor class. I never imagined how deeply I'd appreciate the skill and heart of a social worker, paired with the mind of an experienced attorney. Kelsey brought it all when our family law matter merited multiple protection orders for the safety of a child at the same moment that our finances vanished. I immediately learned just how deeply I could value soft skills and empathy embodied in the same person who would stand at the bench and do legal battle. Battle on behalf of my family against a criminal and his high-dollar attorney funded by laundered drug money. For an empathic attorney like Kelsey, I imagine seeing attorney Brian Ashbach's name is as unwelcome a sight as any. I mention Brian because he is willing to lie, gaslight, and ruthlessly defame whoever he goes up against, on record, in court. He besmirches the integrity of the profession of lawyers. He is entirely threatening to the point of openly mocking and laughing at me, the opposing party, in open court on record. Tactics that have apparently led him to many victories. He is emotionally hostile to anyone who isn't agreeable to his demands. Kelsey Moffitt warned me of Brian as best in the business in overturning anti-harassment cases like the one I had filed. If I ever find myself as a career criminal and/or the abusive party in a family law case, I will absolutely hire Brian Ashbach, and you should too. Just pray Kelsey Moffitt of Snoco Legal isn't your opposition's attorney. Kelsey is not a born litigator. You won't find the most naturally talented litigators working at Snoco Legal or anywhere where you might allocate state or philanthropic resources (or in your time of need, seek their beneficence). But what she is, to her core, is someone who cares enough to step into the ring against aggressive and successful litigators to fight for what is right, when the stakes are high. And to do so thoughtfully, focused, and prepared to execute a winning plan. If we're going to fund community attorneys at all, should be betting the lion's share of our dollars for max impact. Given my recent experience with a number of other state-funded or pro-bono attorneys and organizations, I am advocating for a reallocation of funds to Snoco Legal, from wherever else they are being allocated. Kelsey stands head and shoulders above. What was clear in our final plan, in all its fallbacks and contingencies, is that she sees the big picture extraordinarily well, in a way her clients may not appreciate. It benefits them and the community that Snoco Legal serves, for years into the future. Oh, and she wins.

I cannot thank Snohomish County Legal Services enough for the peace of mind they have restored to me. They were quick, kind, professional, and effective. Kelsey, and everyone at SCLS, provide an invaluable service to our community. It’s businesses and people like SCLS that strive to keep our community safe and give a voice to those who otherwise would be silenced. We are extremely grateful to have been represented by Kelsey and Snohomish County Legal Services.

My husband and I are seniors in need of wills and power of attorney. The staff was kind, professional, and answered all of our questions. Our legal needs were met and we have peace of mind.

People, Remember that this is a free service. The handfull of hard working humans here aren't overpaid, cutthroat, ambulance chasers. FIRST- Get your ducks in a row & get your issue narrowed down to Problem, Dates, times, ppl you've spoje to. Then 2nd-Call the number given you and leave your info. 3rd- If your issue is really big and has time restraints, perhaps you should look into someplace where you pay on a sliding income scale. The employee that answers the VOICE MSGS is Friendly, kind, empathetic and reap ppl (But not an attorney nor able to give legal advice.) They also see ppl at the Snohomish County Courthouse in Everett on Tues-Thurs between the hours of 9am-2pm(?) It's on their OGMsg. NO APPTS ITS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. Be prepared to be searched by security upon entering into the area you'll be going to, too. Pay a couple dollars to park in their underground parking. The state should really help them out by perhaps getting them some more employees. It's like they never heard of the Pandemic! OK. STAY OUTTA TROUBLE, DON'T BREAK THE LAW and you won't need to deal with it 😁

I hear a lot of bad experiences with lawyers here but I recommend anyone who has been through subpar representation here to do your research on Jane Pak. She is a FANTASTIC CEO, and she took the time to have a thorough and excellent conversation with me about some concerns I had about two of her lawyers. She protected her employees and really highlighted how awesome it is that they do this without the pay they deserve in a way that helped me see the situation clearly and that it was similar to my own as another CEO of a nonprofit. She really highlighted star work from Adam and was an awesome advocate for her lawyer that represented me who clearly needed a lot training on some of the niche issues of my case. Though I don't think my representation deserved her generosity and it could jeopardize the safety of vulnerable people to continue to be generous with a lawyer you have to fight to defend you properly, and she has had that made excessively clear to her by myself through facts and evidence regarding this lawyer, I think it's awesome that she's willing to learn and train them in good faith and hope they can change. She ran the meeting with the utmost clarity, excellence and competence. She listened with utmost respect and treated me with the utmost respect in a way that made me feel safe speaking about a very distressing situation of revictimization by the system. I am rating this organization five stars solely for Jane Pak because she is a truly excellent CEO and she deserves to be running a five star company if she were respected duly. I hope that happens more and more for her.

To put it simply, These guys get paid the same whether you win or lose, so what does it really matter to them? That right there should tell you everything you need to know. If you're a tenant in WA state, forget everything you may have heard or read about your rights. Tenants rights are an illusion, its merely false hope, Just as these "legal services" are. Tenants have no rights, and landlord harassment and retaliation are completely legal. No matter how much proof you have to support your case, the cards are stacked against you. How do I know this? Well, its what Snohomish county legal services taught me.

Was not helpful at all for my eviction nor any other legal matters. Staff stretched too thin to even be effective and demand to high. Staff at office let me sit there for hours without even informing what was going on about wait. Front office staff was not helpful either they just ignore you and tell you to ring the doorbell on the wall and wait for staff.
