Over the past few years I have consulted with Scott Solkoff of Solkoff Legal about a number of Elder Law issues. Originally I asked Scott for help for my son-in-law's father in New York and the father of a friend in Connecticut. I was so impressed by Scott's professionalism and good advice putting me in touch with elder law specialists in New York and Connecticut that my wife and I decided to engage Scott to re-draft our ten year-old wills. Not only did receive superb legal counsel with Scott, we also worked with his associate counsel Brandon Arkin and their personal assistant Inesa DesAmours. All worked together as a seamless team. We have been delighted with the results and look forward to work with them in the future for all matters of Elder Law for us. 5 years ago 1 star (horrible customer service) at best. 2025 easily 5 stars. They replied by emails and or phone, the follow up and confirm appointments. Lawyers emailed a detailed draft for me to review and answered all of my questions. I was on the end of a family member going to a different attorney and they basically took her money and made a will where I had to hire a lawyer to get everything done. I refused to have me family go through this with me. Solkoff attorneys made a great will where all my family members have to do is show death certificate and id. Everything is written in the will. The best thing we ever did to secure Medicaid for my 102 year old mother-ln-law was going to the Solkoff Law firm. They made a very difficult and convoluted process easy to manage. Kate Macaluso virtually held our hands throughout the many steps to fill all of the necessary forms and financial verifications to secure the coverage for my wife's mother. Kate is worth her weight in gold as she was with us every step of the way, always on top of everything and reassuring us that everything will turn out OK.
