About 6 or 7 months ago, I was looking for a lawyer in Frederick to represent me in a dispute with my next-door neighbor, who had filed a peace order when I reported mistreatment of his dog. He accused me of harassment when my intention was the well-being of the dog. In a google search, I found the legal services of Mr. Ahmed Soubra. I called him, and our conversation was totally awkward. He spoke fast and asked me where I was from because of my accent, which I found to be quite an inappropriate, if not absurd, question to ask in a legal matter unrelated to immigration. This scenario is particularly true in this hostile TRUMP era, especially when asked by a Lebanese person with an Arab accent. I had forgotten about this disgusting conversation when today, looking for a lawyer for a different matter, I came across Mr. Soubra once again. I see a recent review with the same experience as me, which is why I believe this is a common behavior. I believe it is important to inform our community about the type of person they are going to be dealing with. I had never seen such a professional individual destroying his own practice in such a foolish manner.

I contacted this attorney because I needed legal representation. I left the call feeling belittled and unsupported. The interaction felt dismissive and condescending from the start, and comments about my immigration status — which were unrelated to my legal issue — felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was disrespectful and discouraging. I would not return to this office for representation.
