As someone else said- don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews... they are most likely paid for, please read the reviews on AVVO. I hired James for a family law legal matter... he seemed like a bulldog that would go to work for me but once the retainer was signed and the funds had hit his account... he went radio silent for weeks. He would not change my court date, refused to negotiate on my behalf and I was left unheard and forced upon into an agreement as he refused to move my court date. A few months later, I requested a copy of the signed retainer agreement... to which he replied "I was order to destroy it".... no such court order exist as confirmed by the court clerk. Then he threatened me on the recorded call for reporting him to the ethics board given his unethical practices during the time he handled my case. I would avoid this firm at all costs due their unethical business practices as they do NOT and WILL NOT have your best interest.

I hired James based on their confident promises and impressive talk. However, after I paid the retainer, James went completely silent for a week—no updates, no responses to my calls or emails. When I finally heard back, it felt like I was chasing them down just to get the basic service I had already paid for. To make matters worse, during the closing, he made multiple errors and missed critical details that could have jeopardized the entire deal. I had to step in and catch mistakes that he should have caught. His lack of attention and professionalism nearly cost me big time. If you need a reliable, detail-oriented real estate lawyer, look elsewhere.

Dont be fooled by google reviews I hired James based on the firms google reviews... check the verified review in Avvo rather than the fake google reviews. True story about his work quality and the way his firm operates. First impressions can really be misleading. My case was given to someone of less experience, but James was CCed on all of the E-Mails. They were so non-responsive that my mortgage broker made numerous comments to me asking what is up with my lawyer? It got to the point where it became a joke during the process. They offered little to no advise during the process, which is something I desperately needed since it was my first rodeo. When we closed, James did not even stop by to say hi even though I was in his office. This would have been the polite thing to do as I am a client.
