Their counsel was welcomed as some of the situations or Vermont laws were unknown to me as an out-of-state person filing for a Vermont resident. Pleasant, prompt and efficient. I am from out of state and needed help moving a property from my recently passed father. Marlene stayed right on top of things, frequently checking in over the process, which was extended due to my own situation, with estates and elder care, and made sure things got done.

We used Stackpole & French as attorneys for a property sale. Sale of the home closed in September and funds transfered to the law office. After multiple emails and speaking with no less than 4 assistants (Clay, Kristal, Marlene, Laurie) I was finally able to get a bank transfer of the proceeds of the sale in November. After confirming my wire details over the phone for the third time I was told the original person who had been helping me had been on vacation (for 3 weeks?). Simple communication like confirming addresses and bank account numbers took multiple emails, calls and conversations with different people who were not up to date or synchronized with the process. The inefficiency of this office made for a slow, painful and frustrating experience.

Marlene & Sarah were excellent and very wonderful to work with. I greatly appreciate all their help with my father's estate. I strongly recommend Stackpole and French.

Just not very good. Contract took far too long to be drawn up and cost 3x what most other lawyers would have charged. I like Ed, but some of the attorneys under him were very inefficient. Also, the office has a fairly high rate of turnover, never a good sign. Unfortunately, not recommended.
