I used Mr. Berry to defend me when charged with a crime i did not commit. We paid his deposit. Very poor communication on his part. He had very little advice to offer. He suggested I pled guilty TO A CRIME I DID NOT COMMIT. The prosecutor withheld evidence I had every right to review. Mr. Berry did not have enough of a backbone to demand the evidence. He advised me to accept a plea for something I did not do. They scheduled another court date. Mathew Berry DID NOT SHOW UP. DID NOT ANSWER MY CALLS. DID NOT ANSWER THE COURTS WHEN THEY CALLED. I stood in court BY MYSELF as the judge and prosecutor questioned me on WHO Mr. Berry was and WHERE he was. They posponed as long as they could for me so we could HOPE Mr. Berry would make contact. He never did. So we where forced to reschedule. Three hours later when I was rescheduling he finally responded by TEXT. His EXCUSE was that he had hurt himself. His "assistant" was instructed to notify the courts. Which they did not do. And that was a LIE cause he dont even have an assistant. The next court date came and MR. Berry was kind enough to bless us with his presence. I pled no contest to A CRIME I DID NOT COMMIT. I was given probation and $750 in fines. I know 3 others who have used Mathew Berry to represent them in court. One had a positive outcome. The other two both said the same thing. He does not answer or return calls. He is very quiet and TIMID. Both stated regret in hiring him as their attorney. Both had to pay judgements in the end. In my opinion Mr. Berry is good for paperwork only. He doesn't have the BERRYS to represent ANYONE in court. At this time I owe Mr. Berry a balance. I would like HIM to start his NEGOTIATIONS at 66% of what is owed. Due to the fact he showed up 66% of the time I needed him to. My advise to Mathew Berry is to aquire the services of a qualified experienced TALENTED lawyer to help him collect his past due accounts. I am confident I have given him BETTER legal advice than he EVER gave me! *update* I left the same review on facebook. Since then the buswa & berry facebook page has been taken down.

Mr. Berry showed exceptional expertise even with a lot of unknowns during COVID as he helped me through my divorce. He answered all my questions and was there for me from the beginning. Mr. Berry offers great service at a very reasonable price. He truly goes above and beyond for his clients.

Because every time call I get no answer it go's strate to voice mail.

I rescently hired Denis Buswa as my attorney to help in a texting and driving case. The reason I got an attorney was because I was driving Lyft while between jobs and I couldn't afford to lose my one form of income. The lack of attention to detail was wild. The first time we went into court she didn't even know there was video from the officer. At this time she told me if had to go to trial we would have a good shot at winning because I 100% did not do it. I had records showing I did not text. I had records showing I was not on apps or using data. The day of court at 10:30am I receive a text from Denise asking for my verizon phone bills for the texting and driving case. This was alarming because I had provided all information weeks prior and we had to be in court at 3:30pm. When I got to court I was told by my lawyer that we could not use any of the documents I had provided because she would have had to subpoena verizon and it would have taken a long time (this is what I paid her to do and she showed up with nothing to use). Furthermore we then discussed a plan of action if we were to go into the trial. She did not use one question that we discussed prior to going into court. She did not have questions prepared, and she was writing them down while we were waiting for trial minutes before we went in. After going through the trial I lost. Denise even said she didnt know how she felt going into count... once again not good to have your lawyer worried about the case minutes before it happens when you provided her with everything to win. Denise also told me I wouldnt have to pay the whole fine if I lost. Once again wrong. If I admitted I was wrong, which I wasn't, and I had the documents to prove it.. I could have walked away with just the fine of 200 dollars. Because I hired Denise and I walked away with a 720 dollar lesson. The sad part was when at the end of it all she asked me if she gave me 100 dollars back would it help since we just lost. I then told her I believe she should at least pay my fine. She told me she would talk to her partner and I have reached out 4 times now with no responses. She could have won this case. She could have done her job. She is a nice person and this is not personal it's strictly business. If you are looking for a lawyer for anything more serious than a texting and driving case I would truly look somewhere else because this case should have been a layup.
