Do NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!! No matter what!!! This law firm is an absolute disgrace. Our lawyer did not file ANY of the paperwork that he agreed to. The other lawyer we were against informed us that she hadn’t received any paperwork almost the entire time The charges were OUTRAGEOUS for absolutely NOTHING!! We had no legal counsel hardly during a whole year case. I don’t know how this company hasn’t been reported or shut down. Multi state horrible reviews, terrible lawyers and a money scam. Got further in one court date with zero representation than we got in like 4 court dates. A JOKE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY

Terrible firm. The amount they charged and what was delivered was inexcusable and robbery. Wound up receiving new counsel and so glad I did. Again cannot stress this enough place is not worth it and they will take advantage of you.

Terrible. Did nothing for me in a multi state custodial despute. Would send me little bills for NOTHING and charge me. Total SCAM. Stay away!!! Huge lawyer group based out of state that will steal any desperate Mother's money. Hasn't been my lawyer in 5 years/case is closed. STILL sending me multiple spam emails and day stating I owe money to the trust account. BBB needs to look into this company.

Do not use this firm. My attorney had no idea why she was even there. While we were in the court house, she leaned over and asked me this. After confronting this situation with her supervisor, she lies to him and stated she never said this and then dropped my case. I wasted my complete retainer. This firm is dishonest, and they will lie to steal your money. Come to find out they are known for this kind of conduct and have a swinging door when it comes to retaining attorneys. Again, if you want to give someone your money, I would choose a charity verse giving this firm anything. This business needs to be shut down for their lack of professionalism, along with other issues. I know that after I leave this review, they will come on here to give a ridiculous explanation as to why, but nothing states is correct or the truth. This firm is not honest at all and will steal your money while giving you a false sense of hope.

First time retaining an attorney and Stange Law was recommended by a friend. My attorney Chuk is very responsive to my questions, which is important when dealing with stressful legal matters. I appreciate his honest advice.

Chuk was my attorney and he was amazing! The fees were expensive, but it was well worth it. I would recommend him to anyone. The firm is lucky to have him. #GiveHimARaise

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Put a retainer for $2000 down for them to update a parenting plan for me. Months went by with little contact and then all of a sudden I get a invoice stating they blew through the 2k and I owed a balance. Looked at the invoice, nothing but a bunch of "conferences" between my attorney and his supervisor. So for a total of $3000.00 I got a peice of paper. Also got told that their assistant would do most of the work at a cheaper rate and my attorney would only step in when needed, also a lie. All thebwork done was charged under his rate, and no one could answer why they are so many conferences for a simple parenting plan update. I paid less than this for several apparences with my previous attorney. Would not recommend to anyone unless you like wasting thousands of dollars.

Chuk helped me understand how the law worked in my case and in a way that I could make the best decision. Truly grateful for the guidance he was able to provide.

I was very sad to hear that my lawyer Zoe Arthurson-McColl is leaving the firm. She made me feel comfortable during tough decisions, and walked me through my case very thoroughly, and she made sure I understood everything that was happening. I am extremely happy for her, and I hope nothing but the best on her next life endeavors. Thank you for all you have done for me Zoe!! I appreciate you.

**March 2024 update: Gather round everyone coz the word of the day is "babysitting!" See this all started last year when a receptionist at the Springfield office misplaced some of the important documents I personally handed in that my attorney was waiting for in Bloomington. Few weeks later I get a call asking where they were, causing massive delays along with a lecture on how I should've followed up... that's when I nominated myself as babysitter and since they're going to side with their team members across the board, naturally the finger pointing and accusations began. So, being the heartfelt understanding person I am, I went back to the same receptionist in Springfield and basically had to tell her how to do her job as I watched her every step of the way and even had her call to confirm the receipt. Bless her heart it was a success! So happy for the new accomplishment. November 2023 was my last hearing and the very last time I spoke to my attorney ending the conversation with a fake handshake and a big fat thx for nothing because that's exactly what he did after draining my credit card with the fees I mentioned below that will remain in default since I have no plans on ever paying a dime on. And ya wonder why interest rates are sky high. Sorry not sorry. Another month goes by and I'm still seeing charges come through so I call in and ask what on earth are you charging me if this was over in November? They're response was that I had to make a request to actually close out the file, so while I had her on the line I went ahead and did just that... made a simple request to close out the file and asked when the remaining balance in the trust fund account was gonna be mailed to me, their response was 4-6 weeks. Here we are 6 weeks goes by and I just decided to check up on things coz you know, I've been having to babysit full grown working adults these days....the lady on the phone gives me an actual date of when the check was mailed, I kindly help her with a simple math correction and explain how I should've seen the check by now so I get transferred to the department that handles that sorta thing resulting in a number of unreturned messages being left. After bouncing around for days with no response, I finally was able to reach someone that expressed to me the file hasn't actually been closed out yet so I was transferred again and left another message. After still not hearing anything from anyone I decided to call everyday twice a day until someone at this elementary 3 ring circus JOKE of a company that supposedly has been in business for X amount of years can give me a straight answer. I'll be updating my progress periodically so stay tuned! *Original post: Guess how much a child support modification should cost fellas? ZILCH! Guess how much it ended up costing me...$13k! Allow me to explain this nonsense before you move forward...all you need is proof of income and I don't even think you really need that cuz guess who already knows how much you make before you walk in the courtroom? The state duh! Interested in knowing why it cost so much? It's called unnecessary leg work! Phone calls, conversations, email, paperwork, verifications, correspondences, signatures, faxing, filing, research, meetings, preparing, planning, rehearsing, etc etc etc. You know why I know this? The briefcase chalked full of ammo that my lawyer used to fuel my hopes for the hearing just sat there. The state already had everyone's income with them and made the modification based solely on those figures in less than 5 minutes when it took 2 unnecessary months of back and forth BS with my attorney. One hell of a lucrative scam if you ask me. Don't even bother. All you gotta do is put in a modification request with the state and they handle the rest. You think they would share that little bit of info with me, nope. They took advantage of an opportunity cuz I didn't know any better and ROYALLY milked it.

Chuck and Stange Law let my case go!After I had search for lawyers for 2 weeks and they said they could take care of Guardianship case.They did nothing but charge outrageously and negotiated a unfair settlement.Then after the settlement they told me they don't handle real estate contract's.A Real estate agreement is in the settlement and in a lot of settlements.So the settlement they negotiated was no good.They didn't try to enforce it.I had to hire another attorney to try and save the settlement.But it didn’t happen i lost the real estate! They also took this case in a different county then what they are use to.They had no idea what they where doing!!I also suffered a cerebrovascular accident 2 days after hiring them.I was in the hospital for 3 days.Stange Law and Chuk didn’t believe me.They where insistent that i go to the next court date which was only a week a way.I told them no because my doctors told me not to!I had to get letters from my doctors.Chuk and Stange Law tried all out to get my case.But they fumbled it terrible!Sure wish i would have checking into the Law Firm and Lawyers qualifications more before I hired them.Instead of just listening to there production of what type of law they practice.Stange Law did nothing for me except send me bills!
