I was involved in a situation where I was cited for DUI and refusal to test. Pat was referred to me by a friend who had recently utilized his services for a similar situation. After three years of back and forth with the prosecuting attorney Pat was able to get the DUI and refusal to test dropped and I was cited with a much lesser offense. Pat Stangl did a great job representing me, facing a first offense OWI, refusal, traffic violation, and because my BAC was over .15, I was looking at a year with an IID (ignition interlock device). Pat Stangl and his team are worth every penny they ask from you to handle your case! I do not live in WI, however, I did get into trouble while working up there. Pat is a great guy. Got shafted by local cops and government in Sawyer county. Pat helped with all of it. The system in my area is not up to par, so having someone that has your back is very helpful. He was honestly worth ever penny I spent. Kept me out of jail for a simple mistake that I would have been locked up for. A mistake anyone in my are would make and they still do. "OWI 1st Offense And Several Other Tickets With A CDL!!!" I have a CDL and was pulled over in my personal car for my first OWI offence. I also received tickets for open intoxicant, over .15, seat belt, and failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. I called a friend who had previously had his OWI dropped to a reckless driving and asked him who he used. It was Patrick Stangl. So, on Monday I called Mr. Stangl's office, met with him on Tuesday, paid his fee, left his office, and never had to meet with him again. After 7 or 8 phone calls over a 2 1/2-year span he called me saying the municipality's lawyer was willing to drop everything if I accepted a reckless driving charge. This was the best outcome I could hope for having a CDL, other than walking out of a court room with nothing LOL. In December of 2022 I was involved in a traffic stop which resulted in being charged with an OWI second offense. I truly felt in my heart that I was wrongfully pulled over. I was charged for an OWI-PAC 3rd offense along with an IID violation and obstructing a police officer. I was very troubled by the police officers' actions as they broke into my back door and entered my house without a warrant. Pat Stangl did a superb job in representing me. He challenged the search to the home and the hearing was held in front of a reserve judge who denied the motion. Pat did not quit and he refused to accept the judges decision. He did additional research and filed a motion for reconsideration given some recent developments in the law with respect to the issue of warrantless searches. After reviewing what took place at the hearing as well as the motion for reconsideration the trial judge agreed that the officer illegally entered my home without a warrant to arrest me and granted the motion to suppress evidence. My case was successfully resolved and I did not end up with any criminal convictions. Worth every penny! I hired stangl for a felony owi, and felony possession case i caught charges for up in hayward wisconsin. I was definetly looking at some prison time, and a felony that would have weighed me down for the rest of my life.
