Stephen is a defense attorney you can actually trust. He helped guide me through the worst time in my life when my husband was locked up. He got my husband out and he was very personable and kind. I am really thankful that we went with him. I know he has a lot of clients, but he made me feel like my husband & I were the most important ones. Thank you!
Thanks! We’re always here if you need anything, Tara.
He lacks the ability to separate his personal bias. Poor negotiating skills, and or not willing to put forth an effort in defending his clients. Very unorganized, and likes to hear himself speak. Has a lot of knowledge concerning the law, but falls short in performance. Great at postponing time, in regards to extending, or delaying prosecution. I was found not guilty with a public defender in a similar case. Represented myself in another case, found not guilty. Forced to plead guilty with Stephen Spencer representing me. Not even a plea deal! That's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Worst attorney I have ever worked with. Does not understand Estate Law. Spent 3 years trying to work with him. Fired him. The new attorney solved our case in our favor in just 3 months. Wasted time and money on Mr. Spencer. Beware. Research thoroughly.
Steve has helped me on a couple of cases and they both turned out very well. I appreciate his honesty and law skills.
An important person to me needed an attorney. Stephen Spencer made clear the options, consequences, and likely outcomes and then obtained the best possible result. I'm sure he'll do the same for you.
Steve Spencer has done great work for our family. We are very greatful for all he did. Steve is a great guy to know.
Steve will work hard and tell you the truth. He knows the law. You'll be glad you called him.
Be smarter than me and do more research with other attorneys before hiring this one. The sales guy Joe will hype it up like they will do a great job. But I tell you they will do least amount as possible and charge you the most.
DO NOT EVER GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY/ATTORNEY!!! NOT ONLY THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES HE CALLED ME HE KEPT AND CONTINUED TO MIX ME UP WITH ANOTHER ONE OF HIS "CLIENTS". AFTER THAT I WENT THROUGH SOME REALLY TOUGH TIMES AND WAS NOT ABLE TO PAY THEM ON TIME ( I WAS STILL WILLING TO PAY ON MY PAYMENT PLAN) THE "SECRETARY" KATHY WAS VERY VERY RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DID NOT EVEN TRY TO SEE MY SIDE IF WHAT WAS GOING ON. I WILL NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE OR REDER THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!
ignores emails, doesn't respond phone calls.
Don’t waste your money! He doesn’t show up for court and is constantly on his cell phone!
Stephen handled my divorce with care. Many years later I had questions about documents and he was able to help me again. I will definitely be returning to Stephen with any future law matters. Very efficient and big hearted attorney
I have been working with Steve as my attorney for over 10 years now. He is thorough, direct, and ensures that the cases receive the utmost attention. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a great attorney.
I observed Spencer present an oral argument in the Utah Court of Appeals and was not impressed. He neglected to answer the judges questions in a satisfactory manner. Spencer did not appear adequately prepared to represent his client in the Court of Appeals. Spencer did not respect the judges and became confrontational. I would not hire Stephen D. Spencer nor encourage others to do so. You deserve better representation for your money.
Stephen has been the worst lawyer by far that we've ever had. He never returned phone calls or email. He charged us a retainer of $3,000. We went to court once and that was it he never did another thing. He kinda just vanished. I don't recommend him at all. Nothing was solved in our case, not a single thing. When we call his office to try and get some of our money back no one seems to be able to help.
I find this attorney to be intelligent and committed to his cases. My experience of him is that he understands the law and feels that everyone needs representation even if the odds are stacked against them as often times is the case in criminal defense.
